Enacting new unconstitutional laws will only take the guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens that never were going to commit a crime in the first place.

The Druggies, Gang Bangers and street thugs (who commit the the great great majority of the gun crimes) will always get whatever weapons they want.

The crimes against law abiding citizens will increase because they will not have the means to defend themselves.

The nut cases will either find a way to get a firearm or they will come up with another way to kill people.

Anyway, your point is moot because the Bill of Rights says very clearly that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Recent Supreme Court decisions have strengthened that right.
