Dem Socialist trying to unseat 11 term democrat in Washington state

Anybody can file and pay the fee and run for office but the question is whether a faction of the democrat party is actually supporting the candidate. My guess is that the old guard in the democrat party is under assault by the young socialists. Bring it on. It makes it so much easier to distinguish the differences between the parties.

Democratic challenger hopes to repeat Ocasio-Cortez’s success in Washington state

Hell I hope she wins! Easier to take the seat! At least make it a playable seat.

The seat is D+21. No Republican is winning the seat regardless of who the Democrat is on the ticket.
Yea FINALLY found that information...oh well let them beat the shit out of each other...its funny.
So you'd like to see more socialists in congress? Cause i wouldn't. In uncontested districts, we should be cheering for moderate democrats if the only other choice is a socialist.

Honestly there is not much difference in a mainstream Democrat and an extreme far Left bat shit crazy Marxist. They both will vote the same.

/——-/ Wasn’t the White House D+21 in 2016?

No
/----/ My bad. Hildabeast was D+85 in 2016. Sorry about that chief.
2016 Election Forecast: Who Will Be President?
Hillary Clinton has an 85% chance to win.
The Upshot’s elections model suggests that Hillary Clinton is favored to win the presidency, based on the latest state and national polls. A victory by Mr. Trump remains possible: Mrs. Clinton’s chance of losing is about the same as the probability that an N.F.L. kicker misses a 37-yard field goal.

You have no idea of the people in the Seattle/Bellevue area. You show how down right stupid and lazy you are for not taking a few minutes to learn about the district she's running in.

I hope she wins too. If she wins the primary she will win the general election.

I was born and raised in Seattle. I know that most people in Seattle will never vote for any republican. Ever. It's the reason why no republican can ever get elected in Seattle and why Washington has not had a republican governor since the 1980s. It's also why none of the electoral votes for Washington have not gone to a republican president in 34 years. Conservatives are very few and far between in Seattle and they keep a very low profile. They don't like people knowing they're conservative which if you're ashamed of being something an intelligent mature person would stop being what they're ashamed of.

Nominating her will do the opposite. It will make more people vote and they will vote for her. Her platform is very close to Bernie Sanders and most of us in Seattle supported Bernie. Though personally as a registered Independent since 1978, I wish Bernie had not left the Independent party to run for president but understand why. A third party candidate can't get elected to the presidency. Which is too bad because we need a strong third party.

I'm not in her district but if I was I would vote for her. If she gets the nomination she will win and be in DC for a very long time.

Wow you're just too lazy for words.

Take a few minutes to learn about the district.

The people of that district would rather cut off their arm than vote for a republican or conservative. The voters of Seattle are very intelligent and would never elect a republican or conservative.

It doesn't matter if she or Smith wins the nomination. Whoever wins that nomination wins the seat in DC. It's an automatic win for democrats in Seattle and most of the suburbs of Seattle.

I was born and raised in Seattle. I'm not in the district that she's running in but I can tell you no matter who the democrat is, they will win. We in Seattle aren't stupid and would never vote for a republican or conservative and any republican who does run is just needlessly getting into a lot of debt and wasting their time. No republican has any chance of winning any election in Seattle and most of the suburbs. Just look at the make up of the state congress in Olympia and federal reps in DC for the Seattle area. They're all democrats and have been for decades. Seattle has not had a republican or conservative mayor since the 1970s. The state has not had a republican governor since the 1980s. The last time our electoral votes went to a republican was 34 years ago.

You do the math.

Is a Republican not running?

It is increasingly looking like a red wave in November, so I would hate to miss out on a seat in Washington to isolate California even more.

I don't know but the republican may as well not run, they have no chance of winning.

Stop being so lazy and learn the make up of the districts in Seattle and the suburbs. It's all democrats. The people if Seattle would rather cut off their arm than vote for a republican or conservative.

Look for that red wave somewhere else because it's not going to happen in Washington and will never happen in Seattle.

Did you know that if you took just a few minutes to do a simple search to learn even the most minimal amount about that district would have kept you from posting that and showing all intelligent people just how much of a fool you are.
