Regardless of the fact he was there to ostensibly "guard the statue" for whatever reason doesn't change the fact that he was assaulted, seemingly tried to get away and when he couldn't used whatever force was necessary to defend himself. That is how the law is written, how it's supposed to work. Of course our wonderful mayor and governor chose to see it as not being self defense and condemned the apparent victim...... The police decided to arrest the apparent victim. I'm using the caveat "apparent" because that's what the video shows though as we all know videos often do not tell the whole story.
