It's so easy to Monday morning quarterback a conflict without the feelings and fears of the time. To do that shows a huge lack of integrity on your part. You don't need to be in combat to get that medal nor do you need to be in an incident under fire to get the V distinguishing device. You only need to be in a combat zone and have been subject to some type of enemy activity for the period covered. His combat identifier badge is not a CIB. Its a CAB. That means he has never seen combat in a combat arms capacity. You disagree? If so you're certainly barking up the wrong tree on this one.

I saw a Lieutenant Colonels write up once in the admin office. It simply stated from THIS date to THIS date LTC NAME distinguished himself as Battalion commander of blah blah blah in the Al Anbar Provence in Iraq blah blah blah which resulted in (insert everything his Marines on the ground actually did here) blah blah great honor on himself, his country, and the U.S. Naval Service on this day of blah blah blah. Bronz Star with Combat V for that. A blanket end of combat tour award.

No I do not think it was the wrong thing to do...sorry. A lot of good things were beginning to take place in Iraq. Like the people being able to vote for their representatives for the first time ever. But beyond that Bush had a responsibility to defend America. Can you imagine if Saddam Hussain had given a chemical weapon to an Al Quida nutcase? President Bush had to imagine that. Every leader in the free world believed Iraq had the weapons and was crazy enough to use them. If you were in charge at the time you would have done the same thing. Both Clinton's believed he had weapons of mass destruction and so did Pelosi and Reid. The only reason the lying democrats switched on a dime is because the weapons were never discovered but he had them and he had time to remove them before the initial invasion by our troops.
