And then a funny thing happened; Trump wouldn't go away, and people rallied around him, and anyone else who started talking about illegal aliens. I am not a Trump supporter, but his candidacy put the left in this trick bag, because Trump has caused POLITICAL CORRECTNESS to go the way of the dinosaurs! He showed everyone that calling an ILLEGAL ALIEN an illegal alien was NOT insensitive, it was the correct use of proper English. In one fell swoop, the left lost 3/4s of the power they had to control the conversation; a power they wielded for almost 20 years.

Now that the power to accurately describe what is actually going on has returned, the left is over. And all their screaming racism, homophobia, war on women; instead of garnering fear while walking on eggshells as far as speech, has now turned into America laughing at them. Yep the GOP always does well in low turnout elections and in 2014 it was the lowest turnout in72 years. 36% of eligible voters voted. The GOP made some nice gains even though getting 52% of the vote isn't exactly a landslide. But with all the gerrymaking the GOP got much more than 52% of the open seats.
Presidential elections usually have a high turnout and Dems usually do quite well with high turnouts. So the GOP better get their ass in gear and continue to suppress the vote. Because right now the GOP has the lowest favorability rating they have experienced since 1992. Seems people think they can't govern.
