Did Obama DESERVE to become president??

Yes indeed

if the election was held today

Papa Obama would lose

It's your opinion. Mine is that the 99% have reali ed that Trickle down doesn't work and that's exactly what the Republicans are continuing to fight for....borrowing money from Communist Chinese banks to fund low tax rates for the wealthiest Americans.

Not at all
All the polls show it

Since most of them are bias towards Democrats
You know it is even worse

Just what came after

So Obama is responsible for unemployment dropping from 10.2% in October of 2009 to 8.6% last November?

Dufus.

An disingenuous rebuttal means what?

Obama took responsibility for the economy in March of 09. I will also mention that same asswipe was a senator that voted for many of the policies that haunt us.

LMAO!! Bush, Bernanke and Paulson gave more money to the banks than the entire recovery plan cost. 'Course that doesn't matter....the rich folks got that. The Wall St. crowd and the bank employees never missed a bonus.

Actually Papa Obama increased and extended TARP

besides, the money was paid back

CNN: Goldman Sachs was top Obama donor

Get your head out of your ass. Capitalism doesn't work like that. The Republicans are the Capitalist and the Democrats are the Socialist....or do you simply use the terms to suit your agenda

Show me some example where the biggest financial institutions are loaned hundreds of billions of dollars to save their rich asses and that represents Capitalism.

If true capitalism had been practiced the whole goddam thing would have come down on their rich asses the same way it did in 1929-1930.

I'm still looking for one of you progressives to step up to the plate and show me something "exceptional" that Barack Obama produced either as President of the Law Review, as a lawyer, as a college lecturer, as a State Senator or as a US Senator. My contention is that he's nothing more than a hollow facade...promoted repeatedly because of his "stature" of being the first black President of the Harvard Law Review but really never demonstrating anything exceptional since then. So prove me wrong! Show me some great piece of legislation that "he" crafted. Show me a scholarly work on constitutional law that he wrote while teaching the subject at the University of Chicago. Show me some brilliant legal case he won while he was a lawyer. Show me a thoughtful article he wrote while he was the President of the Law Review. Surely he's done SOMETHING?

That's a laugh. Thanks!

But I sorta get it. Distinguished for a conservative would be killing a mess of brown people in a foreign land..or gutting a viable company and firing all it's employees.

Don't you think it's rather telling that I've asked a rather simple question which all of the progressives that support Barack Obama have since avoided like the plague? Why is it that none of you want to point out to me all of the exceptional things that Obama has done for the past twenty years that should have made us all want him as our President? He's supposedly brilliant, correct? Then where are the examples of that brilliance? Where are the insightful articles he wrote while President of the Law Review? Where are the complex cases he won as a lawyer? Where are the scholarly pieces he wrote while teaching constitutional law? What are "his" pieces of legislation in either the Illionois Senate or the US Senate?

It's pretty obvious that deep down, most of YOU are now quite aware that he's not what he was made out to be by the Main Stream Media. So if that's the case...then why do you want this rather unexceptional man to have another four years? Why aren't you demanding that Hillary Clinton run and Barack Obama do a Lyndon Johnson and go play golf full time?

CNN: NOV 2011

CNN Poll: Obama ranks low among recent incumbents

It all adds up to an overall 46% approval rating for the president, with 52% saying they disapprove of how Obama is handling his job in the White House.

In comparison to recent incumbents running for re-election, Obama's 46% approval ranks above only Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford - who both lost their re-election bids - in November of the year before an election. Most incumbents who were re-elected had an approval rating above 50% a year before the election

Don't care If you liked his policies or not.

Do you really think someone with that shallow a resumee derserved to be elected president????????????????

But "deserve" is hard to answer. I focus more on what America deserves than on what Obama may have deserved ... and we don't deserve much as shallow as we have become. TM was ironically correct in her Flame Zone posts this morning. America has become very shallow.
....Just one o' the many after-affects o' deciding we (only) needed someone to....

Stupid fuckin' "conservatives"

Geraldine Ferraro was correct.

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," Ferraro told California's "Daily Breeze" newspaper. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

Ferraro: Obama "Very Lucky To Be Who He Is" - Horserace - CBS News

TM was ironically correct in her Flame Zone posts this morning. America has become very shallow. Obama is part of the evidence of this.

Obama won the election..and by a good number. Had he been a Republican, they'd be going on about what a "Landslide" it was..

"Deserve" hasn't anything to do with anything. We don't elect presidents on the basis of whether they "deserve" it or not.
Well....to be fair.....that's (exactly) how Bob Dole & John McCain were nominated....it was "their turn".

How "odd" that The DICK; Cheney was never mentioned....to maintain the momentum of that grand Bush Economy!!!!!

I find it interesting no one asks that about George W. Bush.

Maybe it's because Obama is "uppity" and "doesn't know his place".

Right?

Bush had a record of governing for people to evaluate.
Yeah....back when the Lt. Governor (actually) ran-the-show, in Texas.

How "odd" you "conservatives" always forget to bring-up that whole "business-experince" qualifier.....when talkin'-about......

The folks were sick of Bush and the Reps.

The voted Barry in. They bought his Hope and Change bs. They also didn't know what a lefty he is.

They know now so lets see if he gets re-elected in 2012.
Not a prob!

".....President Clinton was relentless in his focus on the economy. Clinton, who famously campaigned with "It's the economy, stupid" in 1992, never took his eye off the ball. He continued to hammer away at the recession that he inherited and didn't stop talking about the problems Americans faced. Although Clinton did turn his attention toward health care in 1993 and 1994, he continued to work on the economy, such as the Family and Medical Leave Act. He proposed enterprise zones to try and revitalize urban areas and fought against Republican proposed cuts to key domestic programs. During the rebound of the mid-1990s, Clinton was in a good position to claim credit for the improved circumstances.

President Obama has certainly worked hard to improve the economy. In more dramatic fashion than Clinton, he persuaded Congress to pass an economic stimulus bill as well as financial regulation."

:clap2:

:woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo: . :woohoo:

Those who realized that Obama was a radical because of what he did in the past are justified now, though it's too late. Look at the radicals he has surrounded himself with and the way he supports OWS.
wow.....how criminal.....

"Ronald Reagan's election in November 1980 set off celebrations in the well-to-do communities of Central America. After four years of Jimmy Carter's human rights nagging, the region's anticommunist hard-liners were thrilled that they had someone in the White House who understood their problems. The oligarchs and the generals had good reason for the optimism. For years, Reagan had been a staunch defender of right-wing regimes that engaged in bloody counterinsurgency campaigns against leftist enemies."
