Prior to the nazis gaining power, they had to cast a wide net, allowing various peoples with different ideologies to join, as long as they were pure German and anti-jew. But then in the 1930's, they cast out any non-fascists at kristallnacht and to the various concentration camps. Among sent out were the communists, or do you have some other history?
