A newborn fetus and a newborn are essentially the same. They cannot survive without sustenance either inside or outside the womb without proper attention from the mother/parents.
Using the "well it's just a fetus" logic, one could argue the newborn is still a fetus as well. If one isn't life, the other isn't either. Therefore, we should kill the newborn if the mother desired as a result of this logic, yes?
That is where the liberal "it's just a fetus" argument fails miserably.
