Something about Republicans that have made them resistant to bullets for a good while now. We had RINO Teddy Roosevelt running as a Bullmoose that gave a 2 hour speech with a bullet in his chest. Ford was shot at (by Sqeeky in San Francisco?) and there may have been another attempt on him in there, I don't clearly recall. The day Reagan and Brady were hit my 1st wife and I had returned from our Florida honeymoon that morning. And then there was that softball team incident.

My first hope is that we see no more assassination attempts. If that fails, my second hope is for the above trend to continue.

Edit: Oh, almost forgot about V.P. Cheney's accidental shooting of a hunting partner.
