All things done while in office must be scrutinized by Congress at first in closed meetings, and eventually be made public at an appropriate time.

I'll sure be glad after you're driven out of your neighborhood and replaced by a family of Biden's illegal aliens.

:laughing0301:
Biden doesn't have any illegal immigrants. I own my home. And if an immigrant family moves next door, I'm inviting them to a BBQ.

So Biden should be charged with ten counts of murder?

How about Clinton's aspirin factory debacle?

I guess it's just fine when a dem fucks up.
If he killed those people for personal gain, you MIGHT have an point.

The reason why Trump is in trouble is because the things he's done are not part of his official duties, but just attempts to enrich or enable himself.

That depends on how well the President performed during his term. Some leeway should be given for good performance. It's hard to punish a President for overseeing a term of peace and prosperity, unless he totally fucked up and got us involved in the losing side of WW3.

Is this another silly thread trying to show there's no difference between Trump and Biden?

They are Trump's words. But no, one's performance should not matter when it comes to legal matters

Trumpers ignore the failed military missions during his term.

Son, you're just plain ignorant. Trump did these...

Rebuilt America's military ✔

Revitalized America's defense industrial base ✔

Modernized and recapitalized our nuclear forces and missile defenses ✔

Upgraded our cyber defenses by elevating the Cyber Command into a major warfighting command and reducing burdensome procedural restrictions on cyber operations ✔

Secured the largest pay raise for our troops in a decade ✔

Created the sixth branch of our Armed Forces: the United States Space Force ✔

Became the first American leader since Ronald Reagan not to start a war ✔

Completely destroyed the ISIS territorial caliphate ✔

Freed nearly 8 million civilians from ISIS’ bloodthirsty control, and liberated Mosul, Raqqa, and the final ISIS foothold of Baghuz ✔

Authorized strike in Syria that killed over 200 Russian mercenaries. ✔

Killed the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and eliminated the world’s top terrorist, Qasem Soleimani ✔

Held corrupt regimes like Russia and Iran accountable through a mix of sanctions and targeted military action ✔

Vetoed the FY21 National Defense Authorization Act, which failed to protect our national security, disrespected the history of our veterans and military, and contradicted our efforts to put America first ✔

Created the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC) in partnership between the United States and its Gulf partners ✔

Twice took decisive military action against the Assad regime in Syria for the barbaric use of chemical weapons against innocent civilians ✔

Authorized sanctions against bad actors tied to Syria’s chemical weapons program ✔

Negotiated an extended ceasefire with Turkey in northeast Syria ✔

Signed an executive order directing Federal agencies to work together to diminish the capability of foreign adversaries to target our critical electric infrastructure ✔

Established a whole-of-government strategy addressing the threat posed by China’s malign efforts targeting the United States taxpayer-funded research and development ecosystem ✔

Bolstered the ability of our allies and partners to defend themselves through the sale of military equipment ✔

Kept Russia and Iran in check by way of destroying their oil-based economies through American energy dominance ✔

In the "sane era" nobody would have even thought about leveling criminal charges.....They would pay a political price if warranted and that was it. The US has turned into a fuckin' clown show.

Did you forget about the whole Watergate thing? YOu know, where Nixon committed crimes to benefit his own campaign and then had to resign when he was caught.

The biggest mistake in history was giving Nixon a pardon. He should have been held to account for his crimes.

A president of the United States must have full immunity, without which it would be impossible for him/her to properly function. Any mistake, even if well intended, would be met with almost certain indictment by the opposing party at term end. Even events that 'cross the line' must fall under total immunity, or it will be years of trauma trying to determine good from bad.
Not even the Trump team makes that argument.

So why are you putting your thumb on the scale in that fashion?

Wow, you do live in a fantasy land.

It's not much of a space force if you have to rely on private and foreign contractors to get anything into space.

His action in Syria was to sell out our Kurdish allies, who are now being pounded by the Turks.

And sorry, vetoing a bill because it took the names of Confederate Traitors off forts is not a good thing.

I know what trump did. You exaggerate what he did. If not for members of his administration, Trump would have started several wars and put millitary on the streets of American cities.

Of course not. Only a mentally ill authoritarian would think that.

Not the Trump team, just Trump himself.
Again. He isn’t a lawyer. He may not fully understand the nuances of the superior legal argument made by his legal team.

Now to answer your OP question more directly, since I consider it overstated, I disagree with it.
