I don't have a middle name. I have my mother's name. She used her middle name to name my sister. I had a 'confirmation name' but never used it. I have several 'refuge names' and I'm using the english translation of one of them on this forum.

All first born sons have the same first name. A family tradition. To keep away from being called Jr, we each have different middle names, the same middle name our grandfathers had.

I get to go by my first name, my Dad and Son go by the middle name.

Actually, my Son answers to either, my Dad wouldn't glance at the mention of his first name.

Funny you mention that. When my best friend's grandson was born, I asked if I could baptize him. So I did- in their kitchen sink. Then I reached for a nearby steak knife and said "now for the circumcision".
