If you really want to defeat ISIS you will have to go where ISIS is. It's not Syria any more. Let Assad and the Russians send in ground forces. How many strikes to kill 53 people? How many bombs? How much did it cost? This is a ground operation. This isn't drop some bombs and hope we hit something.Of course we should stop the airstrikes. ISIS is so few that bombs do more harm than good. This is ground hand to hand combat in a mop up. Let Russia and Assad do it. It would be hysterical idiocy to send our military on a ground operation.
U.S. Kurds are already operating on the ground with U.S. advisors against ISIS forces. U.S. Airstrikes in Syria killed 53 ISIS personal last week! Trump is stopping this now and it risked allowing ISIS to survive and rebuild itself. You don't stop military operations that are in progress that are going well and achieving the goal of destroying ISIS. Its pure insanity!
This entire Syrian mess went south at the beginning. ISIS is done in Syria. What's left is a mop up. ISIS is opersting in other places. Go there in Syria it's done.
Its a combined arms operation! U.S. airstrikes have been key in rooting out ISIS from every stronghold they have overrun or created since they rapidly expanded in 2014. Without U.S. Airstrikes and U.S. advisors on the ground, ISIS would not have been defeated in places like Ramadi Iraq, Mosul Iraq, Al Raqqah Syria, just to name a few places. Its critical that current U.S. military operations continue until all ISIS forces have been defeated.
How much did it cost, a fraction of what it will cost us if we don't defeat ISIS and prevent the next 9/11 style attack on the United States.
