Doctors Begin To Refuse Obamacare Patients

This is true story. Not making up anything. It is what it is

You need an EKG because?

That was a large part of the problem with medicine prior to the ACA.

They were performing expensive and wholly un-necessary testing.

The savings introduced by Obamacare makes Medicare solvent until well past 2030.

Because he is 25 years old. Were you not getting EKG's when you were 25? Besides that, EKG was the first thing he could think of that Obama took away from him.

I had my last full physical at 50. Didn't even get an EKG then.
Same here. I've had plenty of physicals. Never once had an EKG.

I've had some pretty top of the line insurance plans going decades back too.

What is this thinking EKG is part of a standard physical?

At my workplace we were all just informed that our premiums will be going up.

The only people the ACA are affordable for are those the rest of us will be subsidizing.

Standard or non-standard is not the point. The point is, I used to receive it as part of my physical for which I paid for through premium. The end result is for me personally, an increase in premium for a reduction in service.

Because me and my Doctor said so. That's all that really matters here.

if your doctor feels like you need one...then he should help you get one at low or no cost to you....

go to your local health department with a doctor's referral for an ekg...see what happens

Good thing you and your doctor haven't decided an IUD insertion would the best thing for you, eh?

I'll share an experience. I have had my Doctor for many years. Just went in for my yearly physical and was surprised in that I had no co=pay. It used to be $15 but as a result of Obamacare, was now 'free'. I am 'entitled' to one physical yearly at no cost. But here's the kicker....

My physical is now a joke. Under the new plan, he checked my ears, throat and lungs. That's it! No more EKG's etc.

So what's my gripe? My insurance premium increased as a result of Obamacare with my level of treatment falling.

Screw socialized medicine.

Yer lucky...my wife lost her GP, her orthopedist (the dude who did surgery on her knee), and her GYN to Obamacare. She is NOT happy.

I've had an EKG every 2 years since I was 30. The CS guy I work with had one...he's ~35. Good thing, because he went in for a heart stent a couple weeks later...and wound up with a quadruple-bypass. Without that EKG, he'd probably be dead of a heart attack now.

My new and improved coverage thanks to O'Care...

I get to see my Doctor, same co pay.
He will write prescriptions and that's about it.
The tests he did for me that I had a co pay for I now have to pay full charge...
Out of pocket....

But when I post this I'm told by the Obama ball lickers that I'm either lying or I should be grateful to Obama that my plan is now better...

Well, you're always free to pay for an EKG out of your own pocket, right?

Isn't that the argument you wingnuts use when poor people can't get treatment?

True, but I didn't have to pay before- thus my coverage is reduced with an increase in premium

-Geaux

You should look into that before you offer to pay for anything. Paying out of pocket is illegal under obamacare. For you and the doctor that takes the money. As in criminally illegal. Paying defeats the purpose and gives those who can afford medical care more than those who don't pay.

I now have a $6,000.00 yearly deductible.

We tried to warn you..

What is Obama gonna do, sign an EO ordering Doctors to treat patients or lose their license?

Doctors Begin To Refuse Obamacare Patients | The Daily Caller

Obamacare plans have shrunk payments to physicians so much that some doctors say they won’t be able to afford to accept Obamacare coverage, NPR reports.

Many of the eight million sign-ups in Obamacare exchanges nationwide already face more limited choices for physicians and hospitals than those in the private insurance market. But with low physician reimbursement rates, the problem could get even worse.

For a typical quick patient visit, Dr. Doug Gerard, a Connecticut internist, told NPR a private insurer would pay $100 while Medicare would pay around $80. But Obamacare plans are more likely to pay closer to $80, which Gerard says is unsustainable for his practice.

:::::

“You get what you pay for,” said Connecticut State Medical Society president-elect Bob Russo. “If you can’t convince [doctors] that they’re not losing money doing their job, then it’s a problem. And they haven’t been able to convince people of that.”

What a lying sack of Low IQ Shit

People got fed government subsidies for insurance here in NC it is primarily BCBS and there is nothing on the card that says its Obama care, I also just checked with a friend who is a primary care doctor and said the same , the op is an asshole

this is the first year and there are problems but it will be worked out....you cant just dismantle the whole program at this point....it is working....
Can't dismantle the whole program?

You know, I wonder if that's right.

I half-suspect that we're going to see a very serious and concerted effort to do just that, the minute that Obama's successor is sworn in.
