It says that Congress can spend tax money on the Common Defence, and on programs that benefit all Americans equally. It is a restriction on Congressional spending, specifically prohibiting spending on special interests. Thanks to illiterate persons such as yourself who have no idea of what "General Welfare" meant in the late 1700s, this is one of the most-violated commands in the Constitution.

If the Congress feels the need to provide guns to someone in every classroom in America, that would be fine.

And quite stupid, of course. But for some reason liberals keep bringing it up again and again, especially after losing a debate on gun rights and the 2nd amendment (such as now).

By your reasoning the 2nd A. can be construed as to not benefit all Americans equally, only those who choose to own guns, not those who lose their life to a gun. And a more logical, no-brainer suggestion has never been made. Sheesh, OF COURSE some teachers should have loaded guns handy, and this fact should be advertised so that every would-be mass shooter or terrorist knows that schools won't be such easy targets anymore.

The Israelis have had armed teachers for years, without problems.

Why do you fear guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens, especially when those guns could enable those citizens to save lives?

Imagine a teacher at the blackboard explaining how to perform long division to the children when the door opens and before she can drop her chalk and pull out her gun she or he is dead on the floor.
