Care to explain why the democrat Reich is still holding J6 Reichstag Fire prisoners in the DC Gulag for 2 1/2 years??The only evil is willfully ignorant and dishonest conservatives.
During the Foundation Era through to today, it was/is typical of authoritarian regimes to arrest and detain political opponents and hold them in custody indefinitely, absent charges and a trial.
With the Sixth Amendment the Framers sought to prevent such abuse by government – to ensure and safeguard, among other things, the right to a timely and public trial, where detainees could not be locked away forever regardless of whether they are guilty or innocent.

Sure that’s why they waited til after he decided to run to bring these prosecutions and right before the election during campaign seasonThis is a lie.
There’s nothing ‘political’ about Trump’s prosecution.
The indictments and prosecution of Trump are perfectly lawful, warranted, and Constitutional – predicated on objective, documented, and compelling evidence of Trump’s many crimes.
/-----/ And the democRAT agenda is...The only evil is willfully ignorant and dishonest conservatives.

Stewart (I shot my Eye out) Rhodes bagged himself an 18-year prison sentence, while Dear Leader is playing 18 holes today.Care to explain why the democrat Reich is still holding J6 Reichstag Fire prisoners in the DC Gulag for 2 1/2 years??
Well the way it works in this country is that the Defendant can claim a violation of his Sixth Amendment Rights in that case. I’m sure in Iran it works much more efficiently. The woman who isn’t wearing a head covering is arrested on Tuesday, convicted on Thursday, and stoned to death a couple days later.
dumbass.Sure that’s why they waited til after he decided to run to bring these prosecutions and right before the election during campaign season
Haha
We the citizens have a right to justice and the government and its prosecutors are our methods of obtaining that justice. They bring charges on our behalf. The right to a speedy trial doesn't infer that at the other end a defendant has a right to defer judgment indefinitely. The judge will weigh the needs of the defendant to prepare a defense, the ability of the government to conduct a fair trial, and the interest the public has in the outcome of this case. She's already warned Trump and his lawyers that their desire to litigate this case in public will push up the trial date since their rhetoric can influence the impartiality of the jury and has voiced the opinion that the public has an interest in knowing if Trump attempted to undemocratically steal an election before we vote again on whether or not he should get a second term. All these indicate that she will be choosing a court date closer to Smith's recommendation than Trump's. But hey, feel free to act like a surprised Bingo when the ruling comes down. The right to a speedy trial is an individual, not a government right,
So they're being held for 2 1/2 years without a trail in the DC Gulag because we're not Iran?
Just the ones that commit serious crimes.
Like......willfully retain defense documents.
Conspire to forge election documents.
Obstructing justice.
Lying to authorities.
