Zone1 Dramatic Rise in Antisemitism in America

More specifically, the Republicans wanted a resolution condemning antisemitism after Omar’s remarks, but the Dems insisted on watering it down. They listed a lot of groups, with Jews near the end, and Omar told her constituents that Congress issued a resolution condemning Islamophobia.
Did you even bother to read the resolution? Of course not, like a good troll you already had your position so facts were extraneous.

Jews were hardly near the end, the first words of the resolution were "Condemning Anti-Semitism..."

So you're calling the Times Of Israel and the rest of the Jewish press antisemitic liars? lol GFY, you're emotionally retarded, like most racists.
Absolutely not, I'm calling you an anti-Semitic, emotionally-retarded, racist, liar.

Gunaysu: The Jews of Turkey and the Armenian Genocide
A groundbreaking book by independent scholar and historian Rifat Bali was published recently in Turkey, unearthing facts and first-hand accounts that unmistakably illustrate how the Turkish establishment blackmailed the leaders of the Jewish community—and through them Jewish organizations in the United States—to secure their support of the Turkish position against the Armenians’ campaign for genocide recognition.

Doesn’t matter. Why couldn’t we have a resolution condemning ONLY antisemitism after the Muslim’s antisemitic remarks? The Republicans wanted. Strong statement, but the Dems had to water it down.

OTOH, the Dems sure insist that the slogan should “BLACK lives matter,” and not watered down with ”all lives.”

Same concept, but different approach when Jews are concerned.

lol another fake history promoting a cover up. The fact is the majority of Jews favored Muslims over Christians, and this included providing garrison troops and administrators in their conquests, and did so for at least 1,200 years. You can beleive the swill if you want, it just won't ever the big Pity Party invented for themselves and scaring their kids with Evul Xian Stories for many centuries. Most idiots like to pat themselves on the back pretending they 're enlightened, it's a lot easier than dealing with real history, especilly when your peer group has fashionably demonized Christians and whites as the Root Of All Evil N Stuff. Smoke some rocks and wallow in stupidity. The fact is Jews and their problems, same as most groups on Planet Earth, are largely self-inflicted.

lol you mean the monster Jewish intellectuals and racists created, and then it turned on them? lol yeah we know all about that.

Who in the GOP Congress is as openly anti-semitic as Omar?

Her own party acknowledges her antisemitisms, yet they stick together like glue.

Why?

Why does the DNC get a free pass on antisemitism?

Anyone?

Free pass for Omar because:

1. Woman. Check (not that we know what one is mind you)
2. Color other than white. Check.
3. Muslim. Check.
4. Democrat. (and really, that is all she needed.)
Gozar

While she seems overly invested I've not seen any fraudulent claims from her.

She prefers innuendo, and of course bashing Da Evul Xians is always considered okay here, but dare to point out historicla facts from Jewish historians about themselves and watch the racists like Lisa and a few others go spastic and hope to shut down any facts they don't approve of same as any left winger.

After kissing Kemal's ass for mass murdering Armenian and Greek Christians in the early part of the century, we're supposed to feel bad when they reaped what they sowed in Europe for some reason, and it's all FDR's fault or something, or the Catholics, anybody but themselves as a group. In their minds they are the only group who ever suffered and never mind the U.S. had already taken in millions of Jews it was somehow our responsibility to take in millions more during a major Depression. The Orthodox and Hasidim never snivel about the Slavs, or the Chinese, or the Russians, Poles, or even the Spaniards they helped massacre during the Muslim attacks, etc. That's why no one needs to treat them any more 'special' than anybody else; they already get treated better than most.

Hatred of the Jews was called by a Gentile German leader of the Social Democratic Party, "the socialism of fools." Jew hate combines left wing politics of envy with right wing ethnic and religious bigotry.

Jew haters have watched Jews get better grades, better jobs, and better income. Now they fear being fired and replaced by more intelligent, better paid Jews who will perform their jobs faster, better, and with less effort.

Many white Gentiles who are angry about their economic circumstances are reluctant to direct their anger at rich white Gentiles. They find it easy to hate rich Jews. Hatred of rich Jews easily segues to hatred of all Jews, some of whom are poor.

Jew hate becomes widespread during hard economic times. It was widespread during the Great Depression, but President Roosevelt directed most of the anger toward rich white Gentiles.

Most of that is because in western Europe it was rich Jews who were given monoplies on banking and trade by the kings and princes; they were willing tools of the nobility and enthusiastically plundered the populace as tax farmers, loan sharks, trade monopolies. Not to be confused with eastern European Jews, whim the despised as they did any other assortment of dirty little proles. There is a large difference between German Jews and Polish Jews, and between Ashkenazi and Sephardics, even in Israel itself.

But 'all Jews look alike' to you , I guess they are all a Master Race to you, never mind the cults they follow now have almost nothing to do with the Judaism of the Old Testament, and haven't since Ezra set up himself and the Babylonians as a racist cult and 'the only pure Jews'. In fact rabbinical Judaism wasn't invented until over a 100 years after Christianity; Christianity is the older Jewish sect, not the counterfeit racist scams run by the Orthodox and Hasidim.

To paraphrase a famous Jew, Benjamin Disraeli, "Christianity is Judaism completed." The Babylonians considered a Persian king their 'Messiah', and after the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. they worshipped Kokba as their Messiah; he liked to murder Christians and Samaritans along with Romans, probably because it was easier to murder and rob them.

Jews were never given anything. Everything they have they achieved against the odds. The Ashkenazim are the most superior race in existence. They deserve the best we can offer them.

lol so yes you're a Master Race cultist. We already knew that. Maybe Lisa will let you mow her yard.
The Nazi effort to exterminate the most superior race in existence does not mean that there are no superior races. Look at the data.

Some people hate Jews for the same reasons I admire them.

Richard Lynn, The Chosen People: A Study of Jewish Intelligence and Achievement, Washington Summit Publishers, 2011, 408 pp.

The Chosen People: A study of Jewish Intelligence and Achievement is the most recent work of Richard Lynn dealing with group differences in IQ and their ramifications. As in all of his previous work over the past decade, he substantiates his arguments with huge quantities of empirical data. He advances his positions dispassionately and lets the facts speak for themselves, which they do in impressive, nearly irrefutable fashion. In his previous books he examined racial and ethnic differences in IQ for many groups. The Chosen People is a case study of one distinct group that has shown remarkably similar patterns of achievement in a wide variety of settings.

Professor Lynn begins by pointing out the extraordinary success of Jews in almost every field. In the 19th century the restrictions that had prevented most Jews from advanced nonreligious study began to be lifted in most of Western Europe, and by mid-century, “people began to observe that Jews were outstandingly successful, and began to speculate that this was attributable to their intellect.” (Unless otherwise noted, all quotations are from Professor Lynn.)

At that time the great bulk of Jews were still living in Eastern Europe, but owing to pogroms beginning around 1880, Jews began migrating to Western Europe and especially to the United States. They formed part of the massive immigration to the US in the period from 1880 to 1924.

Prof. Lynn writes:

They arrived as penniless refugees unable to speak the languages of their new countries; they were the “huddled masses” from the most backward region of Europe. Yet by the middle decades of the 20th century, the children and grandchildren of these immigrants were doing far better than their Gentile hosts on all indices of socioeconomic status and earnings and outperforming them by several orders of magnitude in obtaining elite academic distinction . . . .
The development of IQ tests confirmed the impression that Jews were unusually intelligent, and Professor Lynn’s extensive review of the literature indicates that Jews in the US have an average IQ of 110 compared to 100 for other Europeans. This would help account for their outstanding performance in a variety of fields. Though Jews are only about 0.2 percent of the world population, half the world’s chess grandmasters, for example, and 16 percent of Nobel Prize winners for science have been Jews. For Professor Lynn, the purpose of his book “is to document and explain such achievements.”

My own family background, commonplace among Jews in general, is illustrative of what Professor Lynn writes: my teenage grandparents arrived at Ellis Island penniless, uneducated, and without a word of English, and 30 years later, their children were all college graduates working in professional fields, and owning homes. And in addition, this was all accomplished in the shadow of Hitler, who was killing their European families who didn’t make the trek.

I just got off the history forum, where a couple of vicious antisemites are getting their rocks off bullying a Jewish woman (me), and I wondered whether the apparent increase in Jew-hate is just in forums, or it’s for real.

Sadly, it’s for real. The ADL reports a dramatic rise in antisemitism. Most alarming to me is the 40% jump in college antisemitism and almost 50% jump in grade school antisemitism. This is tied, of course, to the anti-Israel fervor in liberal schools, and the conflation of Jews and Israelis.

Let Jews and all decent-minded people fight back against the rising antisemitism in this country.

There absolutely is a big rise in anti-semitism ( and also racism, anti immigrant and homophobia). It is an entirely unregulated area where anything goes and festers and assorted bigots can create their own havens. I think conflating Israel and Jews is a way for some to “mainstream” anti-semitism by presenting it as against “Zionism”).

Thank you Elon Musk, for doing your part in easing the way for the American Bigot.

As a serious question, putting aside our differences, how do you think this sort of thing should be handled? The EU has pretty strict laws on it, BUT, that also collides with free speech rights.

The downside of strong regulation is the risk of driving it underground which allows it to fester and legitimizes their “persecution” messaging (ie Jews in control of xyz etc).

Keeping it fairly unregulated is supposed to expose it to sunshine and create pushback against those tropes but that doesn’t seem to be happening as people self-segregate into their special interest groups. The danger, it seems to me, is that it begins to edge into the political and social mainstream, sanitized maybe, but still the same below the surface.

What is the best way to handle it?

Wow. This was just about the nicest response you’ve given me, and I appreciate it.

The answer to how to handle rising antisemitism isn’t simple, of course. One cannot legislate attitudes, and I don’t think we should even try. Instead, I believe we should focus on where and why the rise is most prominent and make sure we don’t have policies that enable it.

1. Where much of it is coming from:

My sense, from personal observation, was that our children are developing antisemitic attitudes as the anti-Israel sentiment is spilling over into anti-Jew sentiment. (And as you note, sometimes the anti-Israel sentiment is a cover for antisemites in the first place.) Jewish boys in my county are being beat up in middle and high school, or being taunted with remarks about Israel.

The ADL survey shows this to be true, with the highest increase in antisemitism occurring in grade schools and universities.

2. How it is being enabled, in part at least:

As you yourself noted, there can be (and often is) a correlation between anti-Israel attitudes and increasing hostility toward Jews. This is especially common at the school level, where young minds cannot distinguish between objections to current Israeli policy in specific areas, and general anger toward Israel and her Jews.

3. How to stop it:

We need to remove from teachers, including at the college level, the right to instruct about Israel and share their opinions about the conflict. (Educators, as you know, are primarily liberal and tend to support the Palestinian side.) There should be a law that classes on the subject cannot teach that one side is wrong and the other right.

Similarly, there must be a law that no student can be prohibited from participating in any student function due to his or her support of Israel. One college disallowed a Jewish student from running for Student Body President unless she renounced her support of Israel; another college had “no go zones” where pro-Israel Jews were not allowed to speak. This type of thing MUST be made illegal, and I would like a law that would withhold federal funds from any school that doesn’t punish this.

I will continue next post….

4. BDS

Complicating the matter is the presence of BDS on college campuses. There is a direct correlation between antisemitic acts and active BDS chapters, but the problem as you note is that you can’t restrict free speech.

One can, however, restrict how taxpayer money is used, and I would like to see local governments refuse to contract with companies that support an organization geared to destroying an American ally. It gets murky here, as well, given the issues of free speech, but would there not be an objection if a local government subcontracted with a company that in turn gave its profits to the KKK?

Anyway, that’s all a lot of food for thought, but one question: I am active with a bi-partisan group that supports Israel and works to ramp down on antisemitism, primarily through education of the issues.Am I allowed to name that specific organization to help increase its membership?

I believe in free speech, and love political arguments. All I ask when I encounter anti Jewish screeds on the internet is the opportunity to dispute them. Frequently I am not allowed to do that. I say that I admire Jewish intelligence, success, and prosperity. Then I point out that hatred of the Jews is based on resentment. This of course gets the Jew haters even angrier, because they know that it is true.

Unfortunately, I am soon banned from anti Jewish websites. What should we do? What I would like would be a law forbidding websites from slandering the Jews unless they allow others to answer the slanders.

I dislike hate speech laws because they can be used to prevent people like Charles Murray and Professor J. Philippe Rushton from expressing their opinions. Hate crimes against Jews should be punished severely.
