economy is not on a rebound, it's on a roar

The stock market has nearly doubled under Obama, adding $7.3 trillion in market cap, according to Bloomberg Businessweek in mid-October.

That means that investors are $7.3T richer than in 2009. If you're not an investor in the stock market than I feel for you. Take your 2% and smile. Oh, and you're probably doing the work of three people right now, tough times and all you know.

Investors are richer only after having the value of their holdings cut in half.

:cuckoo:

You don't think those smart investors, especially those with inside information, didn't move into bonds by the end of April? Those who lost everything they had in the market bought in March and finally decided to bail a year later, just as those who had moved out of bonds and back into the market.

We should all be applauding the shrewdness of those fine Americans for it will soon trickle down to us all.

You're cheering the "roaring" Obama recovery and using the DJIA as an example. Then when challenged you are reverting to financial fraud (trading on insider information)?

You can go back through every one of my posts on this thread, as I just did, and you will not find a single instance of me giving even indirect credit to Obama. Are you questioning the existence of insider trading? You don't think at the ole boys club word did not spread just how bad the financial situation was. 'Financial fraud' is such a unpleasant term. I prefer survival of the fittest. Or at least the survival of those with a club membership. This is good for all of us as we will all be feeling the trickle any time now.

My mistake, I apologize. You have not credited Obama at all.

So we're friends again? ;)

actually a good thing anyway since insiders know most, hopefully!! Do you want to buy stocks and bonds after ignorant people have traded them or do you want to buy them after knowledgable insiders have traded them and they are priced accordingly!!?

I agree fully. What is even better is selling stocks after insiders do.

too stupid and liberal of course. Many of the big banks and institutions went bankrupt and owners lost all or most of their money!!! How could they spread the word if they had no idea what was going on????

See why we say slow?????

yes whether buying or selling the price will be most accurate after smart people have traded rather than after dumb people have traded. Thats when the outsiders get real value for their money. Got it now, genius liberal??

dear, it[trickle down wealth] already has, thats why our poor would be middle class in Europe. Don't forget, France has the per capita income of Arkansas!!
Do you think trickle down welfare is better??

Slow much????

46 percent of all poor households actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage, and a porch or patio.

80 percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, in 1970, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.

Only six percent of poor households are overcrowded; two thirds have more than two rooms per person.

The typical poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.)

Nearly three quarters of poor households own a car; 31 percent own two or more cars.

97 percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions.

78 percent have a VCR or DVD player.

62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception.

89 percent own microwave ovens, more than half have a stereo, and a more than a third have an automatic dishwasher.

As a group, America’s poor are far from being chronically undernourished. The average consumption of protein, vitamins, and minerals is virtually the same for poor and middle-class children and, in most cases, is well above recommended norms. Poor children actually consume more meat than do higher-income children and have average protein intakes 100-percent above recommended levels. Most poor children today are, in fact, super-nourished and grow up to be, on average, one inch taller and ten pounds heavier than the GIs who stormed the beaches of Normandy in World War II.

While the poor are generally well-nourished, some poor families do experience temporary food shortages. But, even this condition is relatively rare; 89 percent of the poor report their families have “enough” food to eat, while only two percent say they “often” do not have enough to eat.

Overall, the typical American defined as poor by the government has a car, air conditioning, a refrigerator, a stove, a clothes washer and dryer, and a microwave. He has two color televisions, cable or satellite TV reception, a VCR, or DVD player, and a stereo. He is able to obtain medical care. His home is in good repair and is not overcrowded. By his own report, his family is not hungry, and he had sufficient funds in the past year to meet his family’s essential needs. While this individual’s life is not opulent, it is far from the popular images of dire poverty conveyed by the press, liberal activists, and politicians.

Of course, the living conditions of the average poor American should not be taken as representing all of the nation’s poor: There is a wide range of living conditions among the poor. A third of “poor” households have both cell and land-line telephones. A third also telephone answering machines. At the other extreme, approximately one-tenth of families in poverty have no phone at all. Similarly, while the majority of poor households do not experience significant material problems, roughly a third do experience at least one problem such as overcrowding, temporary hunger, or difficulty getting medical care.

Much official poverty that does exist in the United States can be reduced, particularly among children. There are two main reasons that American children are poor: Their parents don’t work much, and their fathers are absent from the home.

ed, you should really provide sourses for you cut and paste. Tacky.

By the way, you should really stop posting stuff off of your head. Kind of soggy in there, me boy. European earnings are pretty similar to our own. For instance, though you like to say the personal income in france is less than that of Arkansas, it is not. France is about $36K, Arkasnsas is about $33K.
Arkansas Per Capita Incomes Rise In 2011

Try to remember, two things. 1. truth goes a long way, and 2. Opinions are like ass holes. Everyone hase one.

First I'm giving Obama credit for insider traders making a fortune and then I am a liberal. I don't have any of those soft heading notions that we should tax the rich. What we needed to do is cut entitlements. They don't understand just how much work it is to be rich. I understand the hardships they face and they need every break this country can give them. After all who do those liberals think put these politicians in office in the first place?

I guess it depends on source but I'm glad you looked it up to discover for yourself that they are very very close in their poverty!!!!!

It absolutely kills libturds to see how poor their vaunted socialist European idols are!!

So why is Europe the model for our liberals?? Could it be that liberals don't think????

Hometown's downtown, Leslie, AR. Go Hogs!

The median income for a household in the city was $14,485, and the median income for a family was $21,607. Males had a median income of $23,250 versus $15,833 for females. The per capita income for the city was $10,446. About 23.9% of families and 31.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 54.7% of those under age 18 and 25.5% of those age 65 or over.

Most importantly , U6 has gone from around 9% to 15% during Barry's depression!! Liberals are quite happy to forgive him and blame Bush or circumstances. At the 8 years mark they will probably be just as forgiving as they were of FDR after 10 years of his depression!!

Liberals are treasonously slow, what other explanation is possible?

No, it was 14.2% in Jan 2009, went as high as 17.1% in 2009, and is now 14.4%. Table A-15. Alternative measures of labor underutilization

And since the U6 trends the same as the U3, it doesn't show any difference in direction.

It was about 9% in the 10 years before BO and its averaged about 15% during BO's years. Its the worst performance since FDR's all time records.

But FDR's depresssion made him a hero to brain dead liberals and BO's depression will probably do the same for him!!
You're blaming Obama for it going up from 9% when it's never been lower than 14.2% under him? How does that work? And since the U6 has only been around since 1994, how are you comparing it to FDR's time?

Could be that ed does not think. Cost of living is higher in good old arkansas, mostly because of medical costs. but France is not one of the better off countries. We are middle of the line, though we are still having to add the cost of healthcare that they do not. Number ll, last time I looked. And falling like a rock.

but France is not one of the better off countries.

right, but its among the largest and most typical, and the one American liberals love best and visit most although they are being largely quite now as most of Europe sinks deeper into Grecian recession under the weight of idiotic welfare entitlements!!

Also, most Americans get health programs through governemnt or work so we really don't pay either.

And, we invent 65% of all new products in this world, France invents 0-5%. Without the freedom based spirit in Jeffersonian America France would be in the horse and buggy days!! France is more of an old world theme park
than a serious country.

Could be that ed does not think.
You nailed it. I've not been on these forums long but it was pretty easy to quickly see who the local laughingstock retard was.

Poor Special Ed appears capable of nothing more than cut and paste regurgitation.

Things will only get worse for Republicans. They don't believe in education and aren't qualified for anything meaningful.
