Shelley was quite wrong to dismiss Ramses II (AKA Ozymandias in Greek) as a great king, forgotten by history.

In fact, he is one of the most documented pharaohs and ancient Egypt.

No. They belong where the people put them. It is the essence of free speech.

If some redneck wants to buy a piece of land, and put up a statue of R. E. Lee, fine. but it doesn't belong on publicly owned land.
