Evangelical devotion to Trump

You keep ducking the question

Why do evangelicals support a man like Trump with all his moral failings when there are so many other Republican candidates without the moral baggage

How do they support a man who brags about having sex with a Porn Star, grabs women by the pussy, cheats on his wives, is a prolific liar and braggart?
There's no ducking anything. If all the evangelicals voted only for strong Christian character, you would be first on the battle lines screaming about a theocracy. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

In fact, I think I'll bring that up in the next meeting, during the new business segment. It's time evangelicals stop voting for democrats anyway.

I didnt even claim that. You just make shit up(while ignoring what I actually say) and then pat yourself on the back. LOLZ Like a fucking child.
Yes, CULT.
I will be glad when humans grow the fuck up.
ahh the funny. Macs signature move when he has been beaten. Happens. Every. Time.

I can actually understand the "you need a barbarian to defeat the barbarians" thing, even if it does say a lot about what they think of others. At least it makes sense.

What I don't understand is how so many of them talk themselves into believing he's a Christian.
Who says that? No one I know, for sure. Who do you know that says that, or are you going by a meme somebody made up?

Christians don't support Trump because he's a Christian. Christians support Trump because he protects Christians and he isn't a Satan worshipper as democrats are.

Have these people even read the Bible they claim to hold so dear?
How can they ignore the basic backbone of their religion to support a man who refuses to admit guilt or change his ways?

He’s been found liable for committing sexual abuse. He’s bragged about grabbing women by the you-know-what. He’s in the middle of a court case over paying hush money to a porn star with whom he allegedly cheated on his wife — the third woman he’s married. And he’s the de facto leader of American evangelicalism.

How could Christians embrace a leader who has seemingly treated half the “thou shalt nots” in the Bible as a challenge?
One thing in the 90's you loons told us a man's sex life is no one's business but himself. So you were lying, another sin.

But anyone who’s so much as set foot in an evangelical church over the last eight years knows that Christians don’t describe Trump as an unfortunate necessity, but a literal God-send. Political convenience alone doesn’t explain that.
Ain't that a bitch? No stopping the Trump train!

Christians just need to understand, the only person they can vote for is Jesus himself and not some sinful man.

Otherwise, they need to stay barefoot and in the kitchen and do as their told, that is, if they know what is best for them.
It would take one, just one election cycle where Christians made it known publicly that they would ONLY vote for someone with a strong Christian character who lived his/her life as much like Christ as possible, for this whole complaint to vanish, because the same people now complaining would instead be wailing about a theocracy and how horrible that would be.

Well, all Christians are sinners. Regardless of politics, I cannot see how one attempts the walk with Christ without constant reflection on our own failings and sins, and how we ask God's forgivenss and our attempts to forgive those who have harmed us. Does Trump do that or does Biden? Don't know, and don't really care.

And we'll quickly see on this thread posters opining that Trump is more a christian than ... say Biden. Like anyone could know. And maybe every human has a death experience involving an opportunity to accept god or Christ and obtain everlasting life. That's christianity in a nutshell. lol

Waiting to see that happen. Would you pledge to only vote for a candidate that displayed strong Christian character in his/her personal life, like say, Pence or Johnson?

Christians don’t believe Trump is a devout Christian. They just believe he is a better option than the current president who appears to despise Christians

But the problem would be that even if a person of unquestionable faith was running, like Pence, most Americans would find his moral positions most unmoral. And that's not to diss Pence. Imo one could say the same of say .... Warnock.

Uh, remind us again of your lib devotion to the separation of church and state

Because you're backsliding

Trump is the worst kind of leader, who will openly pander to his base while secretly despising them, and the base seems okay with this arrangement.

The irony that alleged "Christians" are the ones making a Faustian bargain.
