The population of the state of Texas is 26,956,958, and gun ownership is at 35%, giving us over 9 million gun owners in Texas. That is the largest armed force in the planet. Here's where you're most likely to own a gun

By comparison, China has the largest standing army in the world and has only 2.3 million men. People's Liberation Army - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here is a chart with estimates of all gun owners in each state, using the method above I used for Texas, taking population and multiplying by the percentage of people surveyed that own guns there.

I actually own two shotguns and will never turn them over to the government. It is my right to own them and it is legal.

One thing I will write and the gun itself can not kill unless a human is behind the trigger. My shotgun can not fire itself without me pulling the trigger shooting at something. I use one to run off wild dogs, and the other to hunt with. Many would believe my single shot would be the one I use to run the dogs off with but it is the pump action one instead.

If someone does not want to own a gun then so be it, but they should not do not have the right to tell me I can not own one. Also living in a rural area in Texas the fact is you are not able to get law enforcement out to your are in time to prevent many things and need your own protection from wild animals to intruders.

I lived in the rural parts of Texas before moving to Richmond a few year back, and when someone tell me you could just call the police are the most ignorant fools of all because out in BFE it could be a hour to two hours before a police officer arrives to assist you in any matter and by then you could be dead.

So to those that have issues with guns, well do not buy one. Those that want to use the government to take or restrict the entire population from having guns, it will never happen.

My opinion and rant.

Have you guys ever heard of missiles, tanks, chemical weapons....? Unless you've got toys like that in the garage, you should try to get over your delusions of grandeur.

More proof America is one dumb nation. Texas has so many gun deaths people are addressed Merry Christmas early in May as by December they may just be another gun statistic. A New Year wish is that they hope to make it through the year. Nations away from gun worship and pee their pants Americans often ask why so many are gunned down in America. No one has yet to figure out why. Some wonder if 72 virgins await them, but that is part of another religious ideological nonsense. With Armageddon right around the corner, Alfred E. Neuman's immortal phrase has become the new slogan, far surpassing 'the land of the free and the home of the brave.' Others think 'brave' should be replaced with armed, and yet other think 'afraid' may fit better?

How gun control works in America, compared with 4 other rich countries
The real reason the NRA is so powerful

What a stupid country we have become when arguments are given over how high you stand in gun ownership. Can you say stupid primitive uncivilized or idiot nation. In America leave your radio on, and if you hear there is a mass shooting feel safe for killing is over for that day. Tomorrow is another day to be afraid. Too ridiculous.

It isn't that shocking to see my state near the top of the list. Hunting is a huge tradition here in The Commonwealth.

The ridiculousness of equating vigilance with fear is legendary libtard dumbassedry.

Just because we have guns does not mean that we are ready to kill anyone at random, stupid fuck. Many of us live in remote areas that require us to have the weapons to fend off rabid dogs, roving Boars and looney Dhimmicrats. The rest of us know that when seconds count, the police are minutes away.

That is nearly 92 million armed American citizens, and ten states with numbers of armed citizens larger than the largest Army in the world.

In summary, no government on this planet can disarm the American population. Period.
Interesting. 92 million guns in owners hands. And 300 million in the wind. Go 'Murica.

Your not considering that most who own guns own more than one.

The states with the larger gun ownership also tend to have the higher percentages of veterans, too, by the way.
