Former CIA chief: Putin recruited Trump as an 'unwitting agent' of Russia

Morell also suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin has successfully co-opted Trump's message in complimenting the political neophyte and getting exactly what he wanted in return with more praise even in light of his strongman tendencies toward journalists and dissidents.

"In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation," Morell wrote.

"Second, Donald J. Trump is not only unqualified for the job, but he may well pose a threat to our national security," he continued, noting his work with Clinton in her capacity of secretary of state and her resolute advocacy of the raid that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden in 2011.

Trump "has no experience on national security," Morell wrote.

"Even more important, the character traits he has exhibited during the primary season suggest he would be a poor, even dangerous, commander in chief," Morell said, naming Trump's "obvious need for self-aggrandizement, his overreaction to perceived slights, his tendency to make decisions based on intuition, his refusal to change his views based on new information, his routine carelessness with the facts, his unwillingness to listen to others and his lack of respect for the rule of law. The dangers that flow from Mr. Trump’s character are not just risks that would emerge if he became president. It is already damaging our national security."

What an indictment.

One good thing about Trump. He says he knows more than the generals. Of course, we all believe that.

What do you guys think of Trump working for the Russians.

Are there any Democrats intelligent enough to discern that Trump calling Putin a great "LEADER" is not necessarily an endorsement of Putin's philosophies or actions?

Apparently not.

What do I think?

Well I think you should research this more and read up on Trump marriage to Ivana and then read up on Ivana, but my suggestion expand your reading material from the Kos and the Huffpost and really dig into the past, and when you find something then come back and educate us...

The story didn't come from either Kos or the Huffpost.

Perhaps you should have read it.

And why would I care about any of Trump's marraiges?

But I do know he paid his first wife a dollar a year and all the dresses she wanted to manage his hotel.

The OP, of course begins with a lie. Morell served for two months as acting CIA director under Obama, not Bush, before he was passed over for appointment as director but he did remain a faithful Obama tool.

So Hillary leaks top secret documents in her emails and facilitates the sale of Uranium One to Russia, giving Putin effective control of 20% of America's uranium producing capacity, in return for a $500,000 speaking fee for Bill and millions poured into the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton family's tax dodge, when she was Secretary of State but this guy thinks Clinton is safe and Trump is a national security risk because Clinton backed the raid that killed bin Laden? More clear evidence that everything the Clintons touch is corrupted by them.

Trump is passionate about national security and has laid out plans to make America safer while Clinton in both words and actions has shown little interest in national security and when she has taken notice of it, has displayed a high level of incompetence as in selling arms to ISIS and bombing Libya into chaos, providing a new home for ISIS, when she was Secretary of State.
