I dont know if this sort of shit is ok in thr US.. Bit I cant recall a UK firm acting like this.
Twitter last this case 2 ywaes ago.
Unreal that he didnt try to settle.
I dould explain what errors they made but anyone should really know.

In the email, Musk wrote: “If you are sure that you want to be part of the new Twitter, please click yes on the link below,” adding that staff who did not would receive three months’ severance pay.

He didn't click 'yes' and so he was forewarned that he'd be terminated with three months severance pay.

We have TUPE regulations in the UK, and reading Tommy's op, he was certainly chewing crayons writing that one out.


Basically, when a business is taken over in the UK, terms and conditions (T&C's) etc.. cannot change for two years. Then changes to T&C's and sackings have to go through a consultation process that takes months, then redundancy money at the end of it, otherwise you will no doubt lose in an industrial tribunal. They wouldn't be entitled to their job back, but they could claim compensation for unfair dismissal etc..

Probably totally different in the US that Tommy never considered.

If anyone needs to know how something works in the UK, don't ask Tommy, I wouldn't trust him with the colour of Oranges and Carrots.
