[or is that Capitol?]

At this writing, Real Clear Politics shows the vote in Washington, D.C., to be about 94-6 in favor of Joe Biden. Not all the results are in and there are a few anomalies at the margins, but that's basically it.

Without resorting to sarcasm, racism, or other ad hominem approaches, how does one explain this result? The rest of the country is evenly divided - painfully so - but in the nation's capital they are nearly unanimous in their desire to see Joe Biden as the next President. Indeed, one can imagine that if the Democrats were running Hannibal Lechter at the top of the ticket the result would be about the same.

Why?

Most partisans would vote for a dead dog if thats who was on the ticket.

It's simple.

Those in Washington DC feed from the public trough.

The Marxist democrat party promotes ever expanding government and more public sector workers. I would guess around 94% of people in DC work for the government.

In Deep Blue MD the Dems ran a unknown fringe candidate against a popular Republican governor and he lost. So, the result would not necessarily be the same. This tendency to demonize the opposition is what I consider one of Trump's major faults, because it's usually based on lies and exaggeration.

Trump has been relentlessly demonized by the Dem-Hollywood-Press hate machine more than any politician in the history of our country.

How so? Trump was demonizing Democrats before he even declared.

Not sure how anyone could use racism to explain the OBVIOUS:

It is STATISTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE that virtually ALL of the residents of DC who RUN OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT all be of one persuasion to simply vote for anything with a D besides its name unless THERE WAS A CONCERTED EFFORT TO KEEP OUT REPUBLICANS!

The bigger question is, seeing that nearly ALL of your federal workers are all irredeemably of ONE PARTY, the Socialist, Anti-American Left, how do you think they can possibly be fair in their administration of:

  1. The law?
  2. Prosecutions of corruption?
  3. The running of our education?
  4. Decisions regarding border defense and so many other things?
They can't. The Democratic Party is a coup d'etat which has seized control of our nation. They have fought for four years to shove Trump out of power and if my guess is right, in the eleventh hour, will miraculously find Joe the winner by the THINNEST of margins, just enough to get Trump finally OUT OF THEIR HAIR so they can resume the takeover of America.

The OP seems to be suggesting that there was some problem with the election process in the District of Columbia, so I have to ask what it is. Maybe the citizens of the District simply don't like trump. Remember his antics in Lafayette Park? Remember all the rest of what he has said and done? There is no rule that a voter has to vote for a particular candidate. Democracy means the voter gets a blank ballot and gets to fill in the boxes next to the names of the candidates that s/he wants.
