The House speaker fiasco shows that Republicans are unable to govern | Andrew Gawthorpe
These games will not end well for the country. The stakes are huge
This i a great article on the state of American conservatism. It echoes the state of conservatism in the UK where Sunaks govt is hostage to a rag bag of exremist loons intent on their own interests rather than those of the country.
We watch as brexit drains away the lifeblood of the nation. Soon America will stumble through show trials about Hunter Bidens laptop.
In each case a handful of extremists force their agenda on the rest of us. At least the british loons are not insurrectionists.
Conservatism is a bad idea whose time has gone.
