Family of Man Shot While Robbing a Waffle House Calls for Stricter Gun Laws

The family of a North Carolina man who was shot and killed while committing an armed robbery is calling for stricter gun laws.

Dante Williams, 19, and his accomplice Jawan Craig walked into the Waffle House restaurant and "terrorized" the customers in 2012 intent on robbing it at gun point. Upon being approached by Williams, gun in hand, one of the patrons, Justin Harrison – who also had a concealed weapon on him but had an actual permit for it – shot Williams in self-defense, killing him "almost instantly," according to a Fox News affiliate in North Carolina.

Williams's cousin Tamika McSwain is saying that although what he did was wrong, he shouldn't have died and is calling for stricter gun laws.

Harrison, however, says he did what he had to do.

the saddest thing about this is liberalism has actually poisoned the minds of people that they believe the guy acting in self defense was in the wrong. he is the one who gets labeled as the gun nut, the killer, the one in the wrong. what Tamika needs to realize is her douchebag cousin should have been following the laws that exist. he was breaking about a dozen of them at the time.

Liberalisms is a mental disease that rots the brain of logic and reason.

I don't know why they want stricter laws unless they want it to be harder for people like that man to score themselves a gun since having a gun on himself is what got him killed.

Ah,..... no not exactly. His cousin Tamika McSwain, said very specifically that tougher regulations for the acquirement of concealed weapon permits may have prevented her cousin's death.

So no, they were not trying to prevent him from getting a gun and robbing the place, the literally didn't like the fact someone defended themselves. They want their criminal store robbing boy, to be safe when robbing stores.

That's all there is to it. This how sick our culture has gotten. We literally have people who want to protect criminals.

Unfortunately, Tamika ain't real bright.

If there is no armed guards at the doors with metal detectors, then who will stop armed criminals? Who will protect citizens in the "gun free zone"?

Umm, the guy had a gun and his sister is angry that he was shot by the store owner who was legally allowed to possess a gun? Is she nuts?

Yup - Unfortunately gun laws don't prevent nuts or criminals from having guns or killing innocent people with them.

After hearing what the criminals cousin & sister had to say, it sounds like more branches need to be pruned from their family tree. I vote to cut their entire tree down.
