Trump Georgia prosecutor wants 'speedy trials' done together

Former President Donald Trump and 18 others are accused of conspiring to illegally seek to overturn his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden in Georgia.

Makes no sense to force defendants to be tried together when they are bound to have conflicts of interests among themselves. Not to mention forcing each defendant to sit throgh years of testimony with a small fraction pertaining to them would be cruel.

I don't see how a judge concerned even about the appearance of impartiality would give Fani her way on that. It appears she is not going to through a fit on that point, at least not insisting on all trials being joined.

The judge is allowing the trial to be televised, which gives me hope that he might have some modicum of fairness. But I will withhold judgment, since I am so fair-minded myself.
