Fast-food workers strike, seeking $15 wage, political muscle

Good on em. Hopefully they'll get it, or something close. McDonalds has made $Billions off the blood, sweat, and tears of their slave workers. So it gets no sympathy from me. It's time for McDonalds to do some good for a change.
Ya know what it is especially ironic. Your avatar....About government protecting the shit out of the people....Yet you want government to take those batons to business owners to suit your cause.....So it is actually YOU swinging the baton...
Hey genius....Don't be surprise if one day the person you are beating grabs the baton and decides to hit back.

Poor McDonalds Millionaires. Must be rough. I hope they make it.
Non responsive. Meaning, your argument has no merit.

if you do not own a business, then you have no say in the matter.
For the last time. $15 per hour for unskilled. mostly teen aged workers is ABSURD...
These people who are "striking" for higher pay are attempting to take a short cut to higher earnings by enlisting the assistance of government because they are incapable of either showing initiative to learn new skills, learn new skills or go to school to learn new skills..So they believe that by "demanding" the money will just land in their lap.
That isn't the way the world works.
By joining their legions you are WORSE because you don't own a business or if you do, would not be willing to sacrifice your own livelihood to pay a min wage of $15 per hour..
One other thing. The min wage raise is not that simple. As the min wage is increased so do the wages of everyone else.
Wage levels always should be left to the marketplace to decide.
So you can stop your anti business owner diatribe. It's tired and pointless.

Like i said, $15 is peanuts in today's America. But there's room for compromise. And unless you're connected to McDonalds in some way, it's none of your business. It's between the employees and the employer. They're not asking for more money from Government. They're asking for it from their Employer.

There's nothing wrong with Private Sector Unions. In fact, Unions are probably the only thing that can save American Workers now. They need to be strong again. When they were strong, there was balance. Since they've fallen, Workers have suffered. We have to get the balance back.

It is peanuts. Way these clowns act you'd think we wanted to make everyone millionaires.

Slave Owners will not give up their slaves easily. It'll be a fight. Private Sector Unions need to make a big comeback. You can't enter the fight without em. We're living in an age of Corporatism. The Corps have all the power and control.

Strong Unions could provide some balance again. American Workers would be represented. There would be someone in their corner again. I definitely support Private Sector Unions.
Well guess what? Unions are DEAD.....So just forget it.
BTW, you pro union thug people like to ignore the fact that at their peak unions represented just 33% of the US workforce.

Single parents can't survive on less than $15 per hour.

If you can't afford a child then don't have one.
And yet it happens. What are we supposed to do with the kids? Put them asleep?
Offer the kids for adoption?.....The idea that people of limited means can blithely create litters of kids whom they are financially incapable of caring for and then attacking sensible and responsible people for pointing out this fact, is absolutely absurd.
BTW, my hysterically emotional, that would be put "TO sleep"....UGH

Did the managers hire the right person? Did they train them properly? Is the manager staffing them properly? So you want to blame everyone but the person in charge making decent money? Sorry but problems should fall on the manager.

If things had been a 21/21 correct, would you only give managers credit?

You say you make way more than $15/hour. You still haven't proven it, and won't, but you sure sound like one of the whiners that wants that much for nothing.

No. But you can't just blame the workers. The manager isn't good if they are doing bad, that is certain. Even good workers will have issues if they have a bad manager.

Sure I'll post my w2, don't be such an idiot.

Then you've proven that you think bad = manager's fault and good = worker's credit. Quite hypocritical.

If they're good workers, they'll go elsewhere because they're good. If they're bad, it's why things go bad.

You'll make a claim yet won't prove it. Don't be idiot enough to think I believe you.

You have it all wrong. The manager is in charge of hiring, training, staffing levels... The manager is obviously to blame. It is funny how you want to give the manager a pass though.

How do you suggest i prove it dipshit?

The workers are the one that messed up the order. Perhaps the manager, based on the low level mental capacity someone needs to work fast food, did the best he/she could with the shit he was provided to work with.

When things go well, you want to give workers all the credit.

Provide verifiable proof of your claim. I don't care how you do it and long as it's valid and verifiable. You made the claim. You say you're so smart. Surely that's not above the ability of someone who says he makes so much to do. If you won't, that's all I need to know you don't make it.

The manager hired and trained the person. Amazing you give no blame to the manager. Must be bad at hiring or training.

You said you have multiple degrees. Give verifiable proof. See how that works? You are really wasting time.

I said 15 is very little so why not pay them? If they don't get paid they will make it up in welfare.

Many will pay taxes and many will collect less welfare. I would think 15 would get them off welfare.

You have a business and are considering several states to move to. You have enough jobs for 150 employees at different levels from starting positions to professional. Do you think you would consider a state or city that has a $15.00 minimum wage?

I guarantee you that for most business owners, that city or state would be the first crossed off the list.

Yet that doesn't happen.

It absolutely does happen. If it doesn't happen, why are so many companies moving overseas where things aren't as expensive to operate? The answer is that they are going to go where it's cheaper to operate in order to increase profits. If it happens at that level, what makes you think it doesn't happen at the more local level?

So then our economy is doomed? There will always be much cheaper countries. You just accept we will fail do you?

I accept that you're a failure and anyone that demands $15/hour for a job that has $5 skills.

I accept you are a moron who doesn't know about economics.

Have you seen what works at fast food restaurants. I'll go with unable to be trained.

I'll provide that proof in person. When do you want me to show it to you? I'm willing to provide it. All I ask is you bring proof of your income at the same time.

I'm not the one saying some dumbshit with $5/hour skills deserves $15/hour. I'm not the one that says a person getting $7.25/hour going to $15/hour isn't much. You claim to know so much about economics yet what you support says otherwise.

Wages have not declined.
The fact is that there are simply far too many people with limited skills and education. Low skills and lack of education lead to low wages. Unions, or lack of them is immaterial.
The days of the $30 per hour custodian or nut and bolt turner on an assembly line are over.

Poor McDonalds Millionaires. Must be rough. I hope they make it.

They'll do just fine. In fact, those McDonald millionaire are taking some of their money and investing it into automation. Some restaurants are virtually employee free. Think of how much they will save by having robots do the work former human employees used to do.

And unemploying people will make them virtually customer free. Can't unemploy your customer base.

Customers would love it because it would likely mean lower prices. After all, you don't have to pay machines; just keep them maintained and repaired.

Unemployed customers don't buy very much.
Ask that of the 94 million who are out of work because of the Obama economy

Unions in the US can only do one thing: chase more jobs out of the country.

Yes, you greedy white Republican dudes love Outsourcing American Jobs. That's already been well-established. You do it whether there's Unions or not.
Hey genius. You can shit can the stereotyping. There are more rich white people who support liberal causes and donate to democrats than there are conservatives. They are known as "The Donor Class"....
I find it ironic you use these labels given the fact the democrats have put up only rich white people as candidates for POTUS in 2016

Yes we know, y'all love fucking Amercan Workers over. Most already know that. It's well-covered ground. No surprise.
Oh please. Genius. If those so called workers were worth the wages they draw, we would not be having this little chat.

What do you plan on doing with the all the Unemployed Americans? Do you seriously believe you won't pay for that?
Your premise is false. it presupposes the idea that the only jobs available are the type for low skilled people only.
BTW that stupid nationwide "strike" by fast food workers last Tuesday did not even show up on the lib media radar.

Single parents can't survive on less than $15 per hour.

If you can't afford a child then don't have one.
And yet it happens. What are we supposed to do with the kids? Put them asleep?

Send YOU and the rest of you bleeding hearts the bill. The problem is too many have kids they already can't afford then have more. Your answer is for those of us told whether or not the woman had them was none of our business are expected to support them.

I don't know where you people get this idea that it's some rampant problem that poor single mothers are producing "litters". Sure it happens, but obviously if most poor single mothers have a kid, she makes an effort to not have more. You really get a kick out of demonizing these mothers don't you? Sometimes shit happens and people make mistakes. It's not like these moms are profiting off the government. Any assistance they do get is peanuts.

Do you really think adoption is the answer? Do you really think there is a mass of people lining up to adopt kids? Is it morally right that a mother should be forced into the position of putting her kids up for adoption? Obviously everyone turns out better when they arent separated. I hate it how RWs kick up such a big fuss over abortion yet think children of poor mothers should not get financial assistance and put up for adoption instead. It's insane.

Lol it's amazing how simple minded you people are with this issue. It doesn't even occur to you about the well being of the kids themselves. You're too busy whining about the mothers getting assistance as if they are profiting off of it. Do you even know how much money these mothers get per month?
