It is his right to protest at a public meeting. A meeting were they stated it would be inappropriate to read page 313 aloud at the meeting for the record.

So, if it's righteous and not offensive to ORDER KIDS TO READ IT, then why didn't they read the page at the meeting.

This is about a GAG ORDER saying a father doesn't have the right to challenge their petty little rules, and throwing him in jail for violating a 2 minute gag order.

I remember being in Catholic School in the 1970's when the novel Jaws came out, and there was a sexually explicit scene in there that some kid read on his lunch break, and the Nuns decided it was appropriate to humiliate him in front of the whole class for giggling at it.

Here's the thing. this book is written about something contemporary that these kids can relate to. That's the purpose of teaching reading.

Not some tired old, "Let's read Orwell's 1984, because that's what they taught us to instruct against in teaching classes and there's a wealth of material".

He stated that the notice should have went out to him before his child got the book.

He was told to talk to the principle and not address this at the meeting.

His wife stated that they called the principle who refused to speak to them on the subject at hand.

Crazy ass shit here, and in no way should the man have been arrested at all. As a school board refused to even read the page in question.
