Trump initiated a joint agreement made with Ukraine in 1998 that allowed each nation to help each other in investigations involving corruption, one that required the leader of the nation requesting the aid to call the other and formerly request it.

Democrats were afraid of Trump and what he would find with the help of the Ukraine leader.

This is why D-Dchiff was caught altering Trump's telephone transcripts, why he authored an entirely fake transcript ... which was exposed when the ACTUAL transcript of the phone call was released.
