This is an evolution discussion/engagement between Black Cat (Marvel Comics anti-heroine symbolizing primal fury and mischief) and Jason Voorhees (fictional hockey-mask wearing zombie psycho from Friday the 13th horror-film franchise).

It's inspired by the films Evolution and Star Trek: First Contact.

Isn't this whole evolution debate somewhat...ruthless?

As the super-woman Felicia Hardy (aka, 'Black Cat') roamed around Manhattan, New York (USA), she contemplated how America had developed from a primal land of natives and explorers into a full-blown commercial empire grander and more ambitious than any civilization Earth/humanity had seen. Black Cat wanted to appreciate why and how evolution had guided the human species towards great capitalism labyrinths and whether or not this evolution was beneficial and productive for life on Earth. Standing in her way was an alien visitor, a demonic hockey-mask wearing living zombie named Jason Voorhees (a machete-wielding psycho from the planet Zoltaire). Jason wanted to challenge Black Cat's rebellious interest in re-evaluating, re-orienting, and even re-inventing standard evolutionary theory.

Black Cat was prowling around the rooftops of Manhattan one night when she ran into Jason on a rooftop. Jason stared her down, holding his fierce machete and wearing his signature face-hiding hockey-mask. Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) knew Jason Voorhees only wanted to defy her newfound research interests in evolution-theory re-dissection. Black Cat wondered if Jason simply wanted to confound her studies and make her investigations into the nature of evolution simply more frustrating. Black Cat understood that Jason was something like a 'metaphysical terrorist' and not simply an 'alien psycho.' Black Cat entreated Jason to engage with her in a mature discussion about evolution rather than just wrestling with her physically. Jason agreed.

JASON: Humans have made many errors...
FELICIA: Is capitalism humanity's worst vice?
JASON: The 'American Dream' draws in immigrants...
FELICIA: Yes, but does Wall Street create fantasies about luxury?
JASON: Desires for wealth only heighten competitive urges...
FELICIA: Maybe the U.S. army is a symbol of 'empire ambition.'
JASON: Wall Street consciousness has to be defended to the death...
FELICIA: After 9/11, Americans have been paranoid about terrorism!
JASON: Critics of America cite capitalism as an 'avarice system.'
FELICIA: Yes, convenience-consumerism creates levels of gluttony and sloth.
JASON: How can we make commerce feel more mature/objective?
FELICIA: Perhaps Darwin's evolution-theory offers insights into the nature of desire!
JASON: Lust and mischief are 'natural sins' which can not be simply controlled.
FELICIA: However, governance-structures and police-forces create 'boundaries.'
JASON: Are you a great advocate of modern capitalism?
FELICIA: No; I'm wary that modern capitalism will threaten evolution...
JASON: How so? Piracy? Corruption?
FELICIA: We need to determine how capitalism creates peaceful commerce...
JASON: Well, the PyeongChang Olympics saw an alliance between North/South Korea.
FELICIA: Yes, public arenas create opportunities for negotiation with contracts.
JASON: Humanity commits power-driven errors such as the Inquisition and the Holocaust.
FELICIA: That's why capitalism-evaluation should involve an evolutionary analysis of contracts.

After this oddly peaceful discussion between Felicia (Black Cat) and Jason, the two super-beings concluded that evolution-theory would need to involve an analysis of the impact of social contracts in the development of civilizations (e.g., Magna Carta, the Protestant Reformation, the Security Council, the U.S. Constitution, the European Union, OPEC, the World Bank, etc., etc., etc.). Since contracts gauged political 'customs,' they would need to be an integral feature in the study of the 'shape' of evolution/development of sophisticated civilizations, so that scholars could better understand the differences between great Earth empires such as Egypt and America.

Jason decided not to kill Black Cat, and Black Cat likewise decided not to attack or decapitate Jason. The two did not become official allies, however, they parted ways in solid agreement that errors in civilization-governance (e.g., the Spanish Inquisition, the Nazi Holocaust, etc.) should be evaluated in terms of the sociological impact/history of contracts and how contracts re-oriented humanity's perspective on ambition, governance, teamwork/networking, commerce/trade, and of course, fashion(!). After all, evolution was as much a mental process as it was a physical process! Jason wanted to return to Zoltaire with his mental notes(!) about evolution-theory which he organized after his discussion with Felicia; Felicia meanwhile decided to approach U.S. President Donald Trump (a former capitalism-baron) and suggest new ways to think about globalization-contracts between American oil/petroleum companies (e.g., Texaco, Shell) and OPEC.
