There's no intellectual argument against an ID.... you have to have an ID to drive, cash checks, use credit/debit cards, get a library card, etc.

The only argument is, too many voters don't have what's required. Issue them first, then ask to see them eh?

Unless you live in a box under the freeway, or in a building with no utilities, all you normally need is three types of proof of residency like bills.

It ain't rocket science.

Well, can't help with that one Sparky. I've had an ID of sorts since age 15; and I vote most all elections. People who don't vote, well, they piss me off because they are usually the bitchiest.

In all fairness, it's hard to say how much they are affecting outcomes, in comparison to other factors such as the political climate today verses 2008, what candidates are on the ballot, etc. They do not, for instance explain why GOP primary turnout has doubled in Texas and Virginia. Will be interesting to watch though.
