Florida nails Planned Parenthood on illegal abortions

Oh they got them on a technicality that probably wont stick but its already being floated

“In the health centers AHCA reported on we only perform first trimester abortions, which we measure according to accepted medical guidelines and in accordance with Florida regulations as up to 13 weeks and six days from a woman's last menstrual cycle,” Goodhue said in the release. “This, as defined by rules, is still the first trimester. AHCA has never before indicated any different interpretation of this — including at inspections performed as recently as two weeks ago. AHCA's new interpretation is grossly inconsistent with years of previous inspections and outside of both the regulations and accepted medical standards.”

Goodhue's statement didn't address the improper logs at one clinic.
Well, technically, any time you get caught in criminal endeavors, you've been caught on a "technicality" lolol.

Also known as a crime.

Well done, Florida!!!!! Illegal abortions, eh? Shut'em down

Surprise inspections catch 3 Planned Parenthood clinics doing illegal abortions

Four Florida Planned Parenthood clinics have been cited for violating state regulations in the wake of surprise inspections ordered last week by Gov. Rick Scott.

The governor ordered the inspections after the release of a series of five, increasingly disturbing sting videos exposing the fact that the abortion giant is harvesting and selling the body parts of aborted babies.

"The videos are pretty disturbing," the governor stated Wednesday. "So the right thing to do is to let the public know we are responding by doing an investigation to make sure they are complying with the law. It’s against the law to sell body parts.”

Three of the Florida facilities were found performing illegal 2nd trimester abortions, while the fourth facility was cited for “not keeping proper logs relating to fetal remains.”

The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA) found that the three facilities were performing the second trimester abortions even though they were only licensed to perform first trimester procedures.

OK, let's and let's also remember the salient line in this topic: Rick Scott ordered the inspection. From his past history in the healthcare industry this means there's something in it for him. He doesn't give a phlying phuck about unborn babies. Why the fucking idiots in Florida re-elected him is beyond me.

And thanks, but I don't need your kind of help.

WTF does Rick Scott have to do with the fact that PP was caught doing illegal abortions and not keeping accurate records? That's like saying Watergate doesn't count because Nixon was in office. They still broke the law.

Who ran the investigation? Better back up and read the first few lines of the article.

When someone orders an investigation they usually get the results they are seeking, especially if it's in there own financial self-interest.

It's in Scott's best interest to have ALL medical procedures done through private medical businesses, not through government-funded aid since he got busted but still has ties to the health care industry.

Got it yet, twit?

You're missing the point, if there was nothing to find PP would be Okay right now. They aren't because are doing illegal procedures. PP was found to be selling body parts. Any governor would be remiss if they didn't check their local PP to make sure they are on the up and up. If he has an ulterior motive PP just handed Scott their ass on a silver platter.

IDK what the purpose of PP is anymore anyway. Everyone has to be insured according to the liberal messiah's Obamacare. This means Mammograms, birth control pills and other surgical procedures should be covered in part or fully. If they aren't then I guess PP will still be useful but with less patients PP can certainly downsize and get less funding. Oh wait that would mean minors might actually have to tell their parents in order to get a surgical procedure(abortion) preformed on them or tell their parents if she wants to see a doctor to be prescribed prescription pills like birth control as they will have to get their medical card from their parents first. That's great! Nobody should be allowed to preform any medical treatment/surgical procedure to a minor without first notifying the person or people who are legally responsible for said minor. I will laugh if PP goes under.

Alabama joins NH and Louisiana and pulls funding to Planned Parenthood. Well done, Alabama!!!

Alabama third state to pull Planned Parenthood funding after body part scandal

MONTGOMERY, AL, August 6, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - The state of Alabama has announced it will end its Medicaid contract with Planned Parenthood after undercover videos showed the organization's national leaders casually discussing the harvesting and sale of body parts harvested from aborted babies.

Gov. Robert Bentley announced in a letter to Staci Fox, the CEO of Planned Parenthood Southeast, that the state is "exercising its ability to terminate the existing agreement" with the agency "with 15 days written notice."

“The deplorable practices at Planned Parenthood have been exposed to Americans, and I have decided to stop any association with the organization in Alabama,” Bentley, a Republican, said in a statement. “As a doctor and Alabama’s Governor, the issue of human life, from conception to birth and beyond, is extremely important to me. I respect human life, and I do not want Alabama to be associated with an organization that does not."

Medicaid reimbursements account for 75 percent of Planned Parenthood's $500 million in taxpayer revenues, according to the organization. Planned Parenthood has 60 days to appeal the decision.

The move follows a similar action by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who announced he was restricting state funds from going to the abortion provider on Monday. The New Hampshire Executive Council voted to deprive Planned Parenthood of Northern New England of $650,000 in taxpayer funds yesterday. Both cited the videos in their decision.

And Watergate wouldn't have happened if Nixon had not been elected.

Nixon was already the President when Watergate happened and was a result of Nixon's re-election Campaign's effort to get a leg up on the Democrats through illegal means. Would Nixon have been able to do what he did had he not been President already? Maybe, maybe not. That kind of crap goes on all the time, it's just his lackey's got caught. There's no way of knowing if being the POTUS made a difference or not. Consider that even with the scandal out in the open, he still won by a landslide.

PP broke the law, the only difference is unlike Nixon, they're won't be a Gerald Ford to pardon them. Politic's has been a dirty business for a long time. Does Scott have an ulterior motive, maybe, maybe not. Regardless All Governors with a PP in their state SHOULD be checking out PP after it was found they were illegally selling body parts, it's the prudent thing to do. What is Scott supposed to do Ignore it? Then he wouldn't be doing the job he was elected to do. :dunno: If he's a scumbag that's Florida's problem they put him in office.

So, it's not against the law you just have to have a license for it. And PP is claiming the investigators did not calculate the trimester properly or even as they have in the recent past. Sounds like a minor violation that they can appeal because it is a judgement call. It's not like they were harvesting baby bits and selling them.

That is the problem with both political parties lately in D.C. making laws before full investigations are done.
Dems trying to pass laws for Amtrak before they found out what caused that accident and now Repubs trying to pass laws against PP before any full investigations are done.
