Florida Senators Totally Triggered The Gays By Telling Them The Truth

This stuff about indoctrination is just ridiculous and really should stop. Indoctrination would be where adults are encouraging kids to question their gender or sexual orientation and then telling them that it great to be trans or gay. That is not happening.

Just got to say -- you're a moron.

When their FIRST EXPOSURE to sexual orientation is FORCED prematurely as young as KINDERGARTEN --- you bet your ass (containing your only brain) THEY will be QUESTIONING....

They are little sponges that GO to class to question things. And ADULTS shouldn't be putting sexual orientation at a PRIORITY of ANY KIND for kids that young and empty of context and reasoning ability. Some think they can fly and others think they are princesses.

You're warped.

I will add that any discussion should be in an age appropriate way. There have been instances where a 5 year old boy says that he thinks he is a she. Adults must be able to-and allowed to deal with that in a productive manner that does not shame, reject or alienate the child

Any 5 yr boy that THINKS he's a girl is not of an age to MAKE that determination. And neither PARENTS or GOVT TEACHERS should push them to decide at that age. Gay men ARE MEN. Lesbian women ARE women. BISEXUAL folks are cis-gendered and just love both.

A FIVE YEAR OLD cant choose between the 41 genders at that age. And if there is a MEDICAL/PSYCH question about gender fluidity in a child that young -- THAT'S WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE HANDLED.

NOT -- indoctrinating EVERYONE in the public school class inappropriately.

NO? YES!!!!! The only public school curriculum in this bill prohibits discussion of sexual orientation IS K -- 3rd grade.
No.

The main objection is to the vague language of the bill, which could allow parents to sue teachers for even responding to ideas brought up by children.

This language was in the bill, but then removed. But the bill remains vague enough that it could still happen.

For all you low information, news adverse, CNN/WashPo/DemUnderground/MSNBC consumers of sewage as news "elites" --

KEY FACTS

The Parental Rights in Education bill (HB 1557) would ban Florida teachers from discussing sexual orientation and gender identify that is not “age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students” by state standards, and ban instruction of the topics altogether for children in third grade and below.
The controversial bill passed 22-17 in the Senate, almost two weeks after passing the state House.
State Sen. Shevrin Jones, Florida’s first openly gay state senator, became emotional during the vote Tuesday, and implored fellow senators to “open up your hearts” to Florida’s LGBTQ youths and make sure the legislation “is not hurting people.”

Yes, thank you for finding and posting an agreeable opinion. Not sure what you think you accomplished, there. The problem is that your opinion is wrong. Reiterating it and repeating it is not support for it.

The problem is the vague language. If a teacher discusses the topic in a classroom setting, would a judge consider it instruction?

Correct answer: You don't know. Possibly, yes.

So, the worry is that these children will be ostracized and "squashed", if for no other reason than the teachers' self preservation. As the bill makes the teachers personally liable.

Thus, the "Don't Say Gay" moniker assigned to the bill.

Up to speed? Hope so.

Actually they can be. You should do some reading on the subject

One of yours?

Then they should ask their parents to explain which bathroom to use. Until they learn to spell sexuality.

I hung out with the neighborhood girls thru most of elementary school. Because they were into board games and crafts and things. NEVER -- did I have an issue confusing my gender or bathroom choice with that. Nor did my parents ever REALLY care or notice.

I'm a moron? What exactly is being forced on young kids? You have a vivid imagination of what is actually happening but really don't have a clue. No one is prioritizing sexual orientation

Also, children are aware of what we adults call "sexual identity" long before they are "sexualized".

Everyone here had a crush in first grade. Were you thinking about inserting your little boy penis in her?

No.

Did the straight people here have 1st grade crushes on people of the same sex? Doubtful.

So try to act like rational adults about this.

There's a link to the ACTUAL FINAL BILL there. Too LAZY to read it and match up with other Florida law with what "age-appropriate" is defined as.

What a colossal jerk.

Stop changing the way we teach kids. Assimilate to America, thank you
