I said the OP article is a third hand report. That article's source was this article:
Poll: Americans Reject Obama's Unlimited Government
Investors.com, a favorite right wing hack source for rubes.
That article puts the whole thing on Obama, and noticeably does not even link to its own source, the Gallup poll.
Here it is: Most Important Problem Gallup Historical Trends
Gallup asked an open-ended question, which is basically a fill-in-the-blank question rather than multiple choice.
The rubes like to have this information filtered for them by their favorite hack media outlets. They want this information "explained" to them. They want their manipulators to tell them that when people say "dissatisfaction with government" that means they are saying "Obama is the Antichrist and a marxist Muslim", but the fact is "dissatisfaction with government" is a catch-all phrase that could represent someone bellyaching about the Republican House or the Democratic Senate or Obama's golf games or Scalise wearing a KKK hood or their Congressman didn't give them a lollipop the last time he held a town hall meeting or any number of myriad manufactured bullshit that has been slung at the rubes for years now.
To attribute all of it to just "Obama's unlimited government" is hack partisanship bullshit at its worst. Hell, there are people who are pissed that government doesn't go further. People who want single payer health care, for example.
You will notice there is no category for "Congress" or "Obama" on that poll result or anything more specific than "government".
