From the ‘You’re Kidding Yet It’s Government’ Files of the Babbitt Murder

Gawd..you dumb...he got her in the throat with a largely wild shot...yuck!!
You'd think a 12 year vet would know better than that. Sigh..right wing indoctrination.

Own IT!!
What is it you think I should "own".
That Michael Byrd shot an unarmed woman at point blank range and killed her?
I'm not defending that unlike you.

You are the jackass defending murder of an unarmed woman and an assassination under the color of police authority. Think before you drink and post.

And yet the rioters got in anyway. So, he murdered her for nothing.

Man who put feet on Pelosi's desk during US Capitol riot released ..
Police were focused on keeping rioters away from lawmakers and staff. Pelosi's office was empty and not guarded. Meanwhile, shooting Ashes kept that violent mob of domestic terrorists out of the House chamber until it could be fully evacuated. So yeah, it was a good shoot.

No. It was murder.

I havent seen any of them claiming their intent was to overthrow the government,,

It was an un-American attempted "Hail Mary" play to overthrow the newly elected President's administration.

After all court challenges fail, the losers in American Politics concede graciously for the good of the country. Trumpybear is simply un-American and unpatriotic for the election lose temper tantrum he has thrown.

There were many others there trying to enter. Why didn’t he keep shooting the others,

Nobdy else tried to enter the Speaker's Lobby after she was shot.

The investigation further determined that Ms. Babbitt was among a mob of people that entered the Capitol building and gained access to a hallway outside “Speaker’s Lobby,” which leads to the Chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives. At the time, the USCP was evacuating Members from the Chamber, which the mob was trying to enter from multiple doorways. USCP officers used furniture to barricade a set of glass doors separating the hallway and Speaker’s Lobby to try and stop the mob from entering the Speaker’s Lobby and the Chamber, and three officers positioned themselves between the doors and the mob. Members of the mob attempted to break through the doors by striking them and breaking the glass with their hands, flagpoles, helmets, and other objects. Eventually, the three USCP officers positioned outside the doors were forced to evacuate. As members of the mob continued to strike the glass doors, Ms. Babbitt attempted to climb through one of the doors where glass was broken out. An officer inside the Speaker’s Lobby fired one round from his service pistol, striking Ms. Babbitt in the left shoulder, causing her to fall back from the doorway and onto the floor. A USCP emergency response team, which had begun making its way into the hallway to try and subdue the mob, administered aid to Ms. Babbitt, who was transported to Washington Hospital Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Yet they entered the speakers office. WTF!

It was not occupied. At the time of Babbit's shooting the USCP were still evacuating member of Congress from the House Chamber.
Got any proof?

Besides the cops that day kept backing off. Essentially doing nothing. Even being supportive of the rioters. Letting them do whatever they wanted. Then, one cop decides to make a stand. It doesn’t add up.

Of course it adds up. The cops were outnumber and had to continually retreat. But they apparently has points where no rioter were allowed to go and use of deadly force was authorized to stop them from gaining entry into the House Chamber. That doorway was one. imo. Why else would all those weapon be drawn and aimed at the barricades? You simply don't draw your weapon and point it at someone if your not willing to shoot.

To say nothing of reports the FBI had assets in the mob instigating violence. Would it surprise anyone they were instrumental in motivating Babbitt’s actions?

I'll bet those reports are being generated by the faction who tried to cast doubt on the fact that House Chamber was still being evacuated when she was shot.

Yeah because its always best to believe conspiracies on the part of everyone other than government.

The cop was facing down an angry mob intent on doing harm to members of Congress... So what was the cop supposed to say, "We didn't bring enough handcuffs so some of you are going to have to share!"

The "mob" was intermingled with other far more heavily armed officers who didn't feel the need to shoot anyone.

Look at the video if you don't believe me.

And they were busy escorting the first 3 cops out of there.

And yet they felt zero need to fire. Only one guy did.
They weren't in a position to fire. All but one of those heavily armed guards were walking down the stairs with the first 3 cops. The 4th one was near the top of the stairs and had no clear shot.

Talk about spin.

Again, all of them felt ZERO fear for their safety, yet one guy on the other side of a barrier shot an unarmed woman half in and half out a broken window, in no condition to actually harm him.

That's a lie. The first 3 cops were evacuated for their safety. They were escorted out by 3 heavily armed cops.

The only cop with a clear shot was Byrd.
