Gallup Today: Obama 46% Congress 14%

Everybody hates congress, but love their own congressmen. It's because they continually funnel pork into their own districts. Everybody also claims to hate pork, until they are the ones receiving it. All this topic proves is that a majority of voters are partisan hacks.

True enough .... and verifies that Republicans cannot win Nationally again, and need gerrymandering and voter suppression on the Congressional district level to stay viable.

Gerrymandering has kept them in the House, but as the demographics widen, their impact on the Senate is further diluted.

It need not be a mystery that because of National demographics, Republicans will not gain the White House for a long, long time to come - if ever again.

You have no idea how congressional elections work

How's this for how Congressional elections work:

Paul Ryan lost the national vote, his home state vote, his county vote, and his home town vote.

But sharp-knife gerrymandering of his Congressional district by the Scott Walker gang, sent Ryan proudly back to Congress to represent what he calls "the American people"

Is that the way it works?

:)

Gerrymandering goes on in every state by both parties, it has for years and years, this is nothing new. :cuckoo:

So true .... but when a politician loses the national vote, his home state vote, his county vote, and his home town vote ... his qualification to be speaking for the "America people" are a point of ridicule.

But since Ryan has certainly faded as a Party spokesperson, his comrades may be the ones ridiculing him

:)

So Republicans have many of these hacks who lose the national vote, their home state vote, their county vote, and there home town vote ... and like to think they speak for the "American people"?

It shows ....

Gerrymandering is done for a specific reason.....think about that if that's even possible. :eusa_whistle:

With all of the gerrymandering that has been going on by both parties, you want to pick out one specific name? That is something a peabrain would do, troll.

Give me another politician who got as wiped out nationally and locally as Paul Ryan did ... and needed a sharp knifed gerrymandered district to keep his job ... even a right wing taliban troll should be able to do that ....

true. Ryan is a "true believer" college republitard (Rand disciple). Greenspan also worshipped Rand.

He is also a life-long Washington- insider whose salary is paid for w/ taxpayer money.

The Irony is delicious :eusa_drool:

And Republicans say Ryan is such an important person to "the American people" , even Democrats helped gerrymander his district to save his job.

he's got it made  a taxpayer-funded salary for 14+ years, taxpayer-funded gym membership so that he can keep running those 2 hr marathons ;) , and socialized healthcare. What more could any other conservative want :dunno:

So according to you, conservatives should not participate in politics.

Which is what we should expect from you as a member of the "Just Shut Up" party of political discourse.

Considering that this President has had the main stream media in his back pocket for over six years now...letting him get away with vague promises and abysmal performance is it any shock that he's still managing to deflect blame away from himself and back to Congress?

If Mitt Romney had been in office for the past five years and delivered what Barack Obama has...then he would be getting raked over the coals by the Press on a daily basis. If Mitt Romney had things like Fast & Furious, Benghazi, the IRS and the NSA debacles happen on his watch...then the the Media wouldn't be looking the other way.

At some point Barack Obama's two terms will be examined by Presidential historians for their merits and shortcomings. When that happens you're going to see a legacy that slowly but surely fades into obscurity. To be blunt...Barack Obama never had the chops to do the job he conned his way into. That was obvious in his first term. So many people went "all in" on him though that they not only ignored his incompetence but they decided to give him another four years to prove without a doubt that he was unprepared to BE President.
