Okay...so since a Republican is gay that's suddenly mandatory support from all Democratic-affiliated groups??? Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

Okay, so Ted Cruz is part Latino...Latinos generally support democrats...does that mean that all Democrat-affiliated groups should support Ted Cruz???

Does that sound crazy? Yes? Well it's EXACTLY the same situation the OP's link is talking about.

There weren't any. I live here in SoCal and saw all the commercials, etc. In fact, the little tidbit that MORE than one Mayorial candidate was gay was a very very small part of the election issue.

But some have to clutch at the cross no matter what.

No shit. The Republican party has been on a crusade to deny equal rights to LGBT people. When you represent a political party that represent an unequal treatment under law of a group of people, they aren't going to be supportive of you.

It's akin to a black person advocating for slavery. You sold your group out.

"Carl DeMaio is a gay Republican running for Congress from California. Last week, he made a little bit of history by being one of the first openly gay candidates for Congress to run an ad featuring an image of him holding his the hand of his partner, Jonathan Hale, while walking in the San Diego LGBT pride parade. This, according to the National Organization for Marriage’s Brian Brown, means that DeMaio is dangerous to children.

In a fundraising email supporting DeMaio’s Republican primary opponent, Kirk Jorgensen, Brown attacks the gay candidate with every stereotype at his disposal. First, describes a pride parade as such:
