It is not possible to appreciate how mediocre Carlin is (was) until you familiarize yourself with Lenny Bruce, whom he lamely tried to emulate.

His commentary would be profound if coming from a 16-year-old with no life experience. To see an elderly man spouting this tripe is simply pathetic.

How absolutely fearless of him to use "fuck" in every sentence. Shocking, isn't it?

I personally would not say that I never cared for him. He had some early recordings that were hilarious. "Wonderful WINO" [radio station], with the Hippy Dippy Weather Man. That was some funny stuff at the time.

But getting back to the subject, Carlin talking about people doing stupid stuff with their bodies? As John McEnroe, Jr., would say, "You canNOT be SERIOUS!"

I DISLIKE malls ( don't go to them ) AND I dislike looking at fat people.

I never realized how many Americans were fat and how our whole society is infected with it until I started vising Europe. I used to look with wonder at all of the "attractive" women, then I realized that they were not actually pretty, they were just NOT FAT, and their clothes fit properly. And by comparison with the masses you see in any big U.S. city, they looked great.
