Germany shows us why Republican policies will ALWAYS "fail".

You know, I'm happy for Germany, I really am. I think if they're making it, then they must be doing something right... for them.

But rdean, let me make this very, very clear for you. I AM NOT A FREAKIN GERMAN. I am an American. As such, I am a free man and I don't want government telling me what to do. Now what that means is, if you've ever been to Germany, I have NO DESIRE to be like the Germans. I like them. I think they're a great country and a friend to this nation. But I don't want to be like them.

You see, in my pickup I carry an M-4, a Remington 870, and a Colt double eagle. On my ranch, they come in very handy when you run across a diamond back or a pack of dogs is trying to bring down a calf. They also come in handy when the odd meth-head wanders onto the property and thinks that he can set up a lab at the end of a country road. I've never seen many pickup trucks in Germany, let alone ranchers who carry weapons like I do. I'm not giving up my guns rdean. You can outlaw them all you like, but they will stay with me. PERIOD.

As a free man, I come and go as I please, and my ranch is MINE. The Department of Agriculture wants to come onto my property, they better by God have a warrant. Same goes for the EPA who want to inspect the wells that are on my property. If they ask nicely, then maybe I'll let them, or if Barry has really pissed me off that day because my taxes have gone up, maybe I won't. In either case they all know to tread lightly around here. City cops, the sheriff's department and highway patrol have standing permission to hunt my property. But as agents of the government, if they want to snoop around, it's called a warrant. Get one and take it to my lawyer.

Have you been to Germany? The Germans are very nice and they go where they are told and they patiently wait for everything. It's so clean and neat and organized. I am an American rdean. I don't stand in line well. I won't stand in line well. The government tells me to go here and do this, the first thing that comes out of my mouth is, WHY? And they better have a good answer. If a government buearocrat tells me to go here, I tell him to pound sand. You see, I don't care what the government wants, that is not my problem. I am an individual, not a member of a group. And as a free AMERICAN I don't care what the freakin government wants. My ancestors came here in covered wagons. There was no government, no sheriff, nothing. They didn't want anything either. It's that sense of independence, of freedom, that distinguishes Americans from those really nice Europeans.

Why can't we be like the German's rdean? Because WE ARE AMERICANS. And with it comes all of the messy and chaotic and noisey paraphenalia of being an American... of being a FREE MAN. You want us to be like the Europeans. Ain't going to happen... I like my freedom. And occassionally, I like to exercise that freedom by pissing off someone who wants me to stand in line or behave myself like those really nice Europeans.

:clap2:

The ignorant Pub Dupes should know by now you can't move to Germany, the EU, Canad, OZ, NZ- unless you marry a citizen or have tons of money. Doyou live under a rock? tyvm

1 x Pizza Thuna 6.90 Deutsche Mark. Today it is like 7.50 Euro.
Today I pay 8.49 Euro for 3 grilled half-chickens, that's 17 Deutsche Mark with which my mother would've fed the family for 2-3 days.

Load of crap.

You should check when German unemployment started to fall and what caused it.

Google Agenda 2010 program (cuts in the social welfare system, lowered taxes, and reformed regulations on employment and payment), you might learn something.

On the other thought, you might learn, but you'll never accept the facts. That's what left do...

Amen Brother.

If Deaney and others don't like the U S of A then they can pack their ditti bags and go wherever.

I'll take the messy, chaotic and noisy paraphenalia that is America any day of the week.

Germany

Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU). An important aspect of postwar German politics was the emergence of a moderate, ecumenical Christian party--the Christian Democratic Union (CDU)--operating in alliance with a related Bavarian party, the Christian Social Union (CSU). Although each party maintains its own structure, the two form a common caucus in the Bundestag and do not run opposing campaigns. The CDU/CSU has adherents among Catholics, Protestants, rural interests, and members of all economic classes. It is generally conservative on economic and social policy and more identified with the Roman Catholic and Protestant churches. Angela Merkel, Germany’s current Chancellor, is the leader of the CDU and Horst Seehofer leads the Christian Social Union. The CDU/CSU currently holds 237 seats in the Bundestag.

Bundestag elections were held again on September 27, 2009. The results were as follows: CDU/CSU 33.8% (239 seats); SPD 23% (146 seats); FDP 14.6% (93 seats); LP 11.9% (76 seats); Greens 10.7% (68 seats). The CDU/CSU received a slightly lower proportion than in the previous election, with the Bavarian CSU receiving its lowest vote share in decades. In contrast, their preferred coalition partner, the liberal FDP, gained nearly 5% points to give it 14.6% of the vote, the best result of its history. The big loser of the election was the SPD, which received its worst result ever in a federal election, receiving only 23% of the total party vote and suffering the biggest percentage loss of any party in German federal election history in 60 years.

bolded area just above is equivalent to our Democrats. The party in power now is equivalent to Republicans. Still want to move there?

They are not the same though. Their Nazi Party was probably closer to the Republicans.
It was just a matter of time before someone decided to same something stupid like this.

Did you just SAME something stupid?

You realize that the party that has run Germany for the last several years is not the SDP but the CDU/CSU conservative coalition? In other words, the German version of the Republican party has been in power since November of 2005.

The CDU/CSU is nothing like the Repug Party in the United States, they see the Republican Party as far right, you don't know shat about Germany, their political system is different, the CDU/CSU cannot take power without forming a coalition with other parties so there issome copromise on somethings and not the deadlock, all or nothing shat we have in America.

Our founders put measures in place to create deadlock when there is trouble in the republic. They where put in place as checks and balances against a runaway government like the one we have now. Is it pretty? Nope, but it works.

What the fack ever, I'm sick of hearing excuses of why our own politicians can't shat for our own people that pay their taxes. Deadlock hasn't worked for shat, all these near govt shutdowns have led to temporary solutions that pop right the hell back up, I say thats a failure of the system not an example of the system working.

I knew that and I was completely puzzled at why the op was giving them an 'atta boy' being such a partisan hack, obviously he's very confused or very stupid.

The CDU is not like Republicans the CSU which is only in Bavaria leans a bit more to the right socially but neither are as far right as the Republicans who social welfare as "socialism," they actually laugh their asses off over here because I watch German news on TV and see what they actually think of Republicans. IOW, don't think for one second that the CDU/CSU is lock and step the same as Republicans.

If you follow German political landscape it is rather "boring", there doesn't happen too much controversy and action compared to other countries. Each day business as usual.

I rather have that than the facking drama that pays out in American politics with all those near shutdowns, most Americans are tired of that shat.
