Does daylight savings really save time and energy, end accidents, etc? It true, it would be easy enough to prove, no? 12 months a year, the sun rises considerably earlier in the the eastern sector of the Eastern Time Zone in Maine, than it does it the western zone around Grand Rapids. Are accidents and energy savings a lot greater in western Michigan- they should be, if the "daylight savings" theory is accurate, no?

Why are people even whining about this?

It's for the children. Can't have them at a busstop in the dark can we. Even if they don't go to school and if so it's after 9am and back at noon anyway. Pick up at their driveway, no school bus stops anymore.

Other side of the stick. it's dark at 4pm, snowing and 1.2 million retards trying to drive home in the snow and dark who don't even have the capability to drive dry roads in the day.
