On the official omicron death toll thread, nobody in the whole world has been confirmed dead "because" of omi-con, and there have been 3 claims of people dying "with" omi-con. Are you aware of any deaths "because" of omi-con?

The msm has presented omicron in a way that has caused stocks and crypto to plunge, and in a way that created a lot of fear. I figured we could have a thread where we track the omicron death toll, since omicron is such a scary thing. Please post all the Omicron deaths here.

Are there any reasons why you would be concerned about getting Omicron, above and beyond the typical symptoms that go with a typical cold?

Omicron variant multiplies faster in bronchial tissue than in lung tissue.

And tends to multiply faster overall..which is why it is super infectious.

Meaning that you likely won't choke to death but your endocrine system will be destroyed by the time all is said and done.

Huh, I wonder what that means "in bronchial tissue than in lung tissue"? So wouldn't they both result in cough? But maybe that's why Omicron tends not to be so serious. Doesn't effect the lungs as much.

The risk for any given individual doesn't seem much worse than seasonal flus. But we have a degree of herd immunity to those and they don't spread nearly as quickly. The risk is a third of the population coming down with the flu at the same time. That would be a shitshow, and many people would die.

I hear this response from everyone who has been vaccinated and I'd like to believe it but I've never had anyone explain WHY they believe this. I'm willing to listen.

My perspective is that we know roughly1 in100 people who contract this disease will die from it. We know that somewhere around 5-10% who contract it will become ill enough to need hospitalization. So... I read that as saying that at worst, 1 in 10 people will become seriously ill, or have a severe rather than "mild" course of this disease.

Where is the data that proves that those who've had the vaccines cannot be part of the naturally-occurring "mild cases" we already know to exist? Do you understand why I'm unconvinced?

Reports are (nationally) the majority of the COVID-19 patients actually admitted after going to the emergency room and being tested, are the non-vaccinated, as they are the ones that are having the most difficulty and more severe cases. This is mirrored by my son, an ER nurse at the largest hospital between Memphis and Nashville.
People here can continue to roll the dice, avoiding vaccination, but odds can be increased in their favor of a lighter case (if any symptomatic case) if they are vaccinated.

With any luck, omicron will be the end of the pandemic. If it goes the way it seems to be going, omicron will supplant delta and the other covid variants, with a version this isn't nearly as dangerous. We can add it to the list of seasonal flus we have to deal with and move on. But that's a risky bet. If we're wrong about omicron, if it has lingering chronic effects that are debilitating or deadly, and we let everyone get - we're fucked. I have no problem with continuing a certain level of caution while this is playing out.

That is not a matter of IF.......but When............It doesn't care about the vaccines.......it is spreading like wildfire...............and we will eventually get it...........hell most have had covid and don't know it..........

I wish they would have done massive B and T cell studies here like other countries.....so we would have data on that.........

For most people, very true. For some (especially the unvaccinated) maybe not. Most people in the country are vaccinated or have had COVID-19, or both, like myself. Many do have some ability to beat it on their own, again, like myself. Some do indeed continue to need emergency medical intervention, primarily the unvaccinated. I believe best security is in an armored vehicle with a full- up battle system. Nobody paid me to take foolish chances, so I give myself every edge I can, when I can.
The column in RED are the people that were unable to fight it off, even with medical intervention yesterday. Most probably did not have a full-up battle system.

The Gillian Bar syndrome causing vaccines like J&J, Sinopharm, Oxford, and Coronavac are actually more effective when third shot boostered against omicron than boostered mRNA vaccines...

Where these vaccines will have a higher incidence of blood clots and other nasty side effects...they seem to be providing better immunity to Omicron than the mRNA vaccines...but that third shot boostered mRNA is providing solid protection as well. Just the others are providing better immunity than they are. Which is totally different as well...got everyone's head scratching on that one.

Meaning that there some silver pins hiding in the mountain of chrome ones of antibodies.

So your concern about YOU getting omi-con, as the opening post asks, is that if YOU get omi-con, a third of the world would get the flu. How does omi-con become the flu?

So far no one has gotten seriously ill.

I heard the first death from Omicron variant was in the US was in Texas, over a week ago. If true, I suspect they were seriously ill at the end. I kind of doubt the came into December thinking they were in danger.
