I watched as so-called conservatives extolled "free trade" as a gift from God that may never be violated by protectionism for decades. Now here we are with conservatives developing a massive case of amnesia about their free marketeer past and somehow the people who most urged protectionist measures when they would have worked are to blame. Now you people want to destroy a system you built right when the working class is finally starting to see a little bit of wage growth.
