I would agree with this, by and large, although both Lebanon and Turkey also have a fairly well educated population.

But yes, Israel is the obvious port of all for American businesses.

Israel should be a very wealthy country, and it puzzles me that some Israelis don't also see the need for a long-term solution to the West Bank issues to ensure that tourism and business can thrive in the future.
