I would say Roof was a liberal if anything:
1) he grew up in an increasingly liberal culture where such shooting are common.
a) he grew up in a culture where liberals mock Christianity
b) he grew up in a culture where liberals mock and destroy family
c) he grew up where liberal tolerance of weird behavior is encouraged too much and not judged enough
d) he grew up in failed liberal schools where mental discipline and thinking skills are not taught
e) he grew up in a failing economy where planning a future is difficult
f) he grew up in a liberal country where there is no respect. Liberals hate or disrespect the country, govt and the culture. This frees everyone, like Roof, to develop and take seriously their own values and their own solutions.

Nonsense.

Neither the GOP nor conservatives endorse racism or violence against other races, and racism is not sanctioned as part of official conservative dogma.

The problem for republicans and conservatives, however, is that racists and bigots often find refuge among the ranks of both, where racists and bigots will more often identify as republican and conservative. Therefore it's incumbent upon republicans and conservatives to examine their political dogma to discover why that's the case, and work to eliminate the problem.
