Since the Republicans are blamed for shutting down the government, they created jobs. Lets do it again in January.

Payrolls Jump by 204,000 as U.S. Economy Weathered Shutdown

Payrolls in the U.S. increased more than forecast in October, a sign that employers were optimistic the world’s biggest economy would weather the effects of the federal government shutdown.
The addition of 204,000 workers followed a revised 163,000 gain in September that was larger than initially estimated, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The median forecast of 91 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for a 120,000 advance. The jobless rate rose to 7.3 percent from an almost five-year low.

Coincidence is not causation.

Use Geaux's silly example above in basic logic classes.

From the article:

"I find this bizarre," Moody's economist Mark Zandi told CNBC. "I wouldn't be surprised if this gets revised to some degree...down."

The revised numbers will be buried on the obituary page.

The data shows that like the Pubs said, shutting down the government has not direct impact to the economy. To the contrary, the data suggest it improves it

Furthermore, the same is true we are finding about Obamacare.

So much for the left using the shutdown to create false illusions

For the payroll survey, government workers on furlough were classified as ployed because they all came back before the end of the pay period

Causation - positive economic news which benefits Democrats no matter how little they had to do with creating it.

Coincidence - positive economic news which benefits Republicans, period.

The left slammed Cruz for the shutdown. Said it was over nothing and would cause loss of jobs and hurt the economy. Turns out, Cruz was right on both points. The shutdown created jobs and Obamacare was a epic failure as predicted.

This time Obama lied about doing the right thing. He shut down the government, which created jobs, but gave Cruz the credit

The left and right owe Cruz an apology

The shutdown created jobs

Cost the govt $24 billion and citizens $2 billion.

Cost the govt $24 billion? Are you referring to the nebulous estimate of how much money was taken out of the economy?

It was also estimated that 10's of thousands of jobs would be lost.

Looks like the gov't gave a shutdown and nobody came.

And now we get to get comfy and roast our marshmallows over the flames of Obamacare.

If we could get away with not paying non-essential federal personnel for the time the government is shut down we should shoot for 6 months.
