Hello,

I am a doctoral student at Florida International University and am leading a research study concerning the psychological impact, if any, that governmental decisions, such as the 2013 government shutdown, may have on federal workers. By conducting this study, our ultimate goal is to help government agencies assess the current psychological state of their employees in order to determine whether interventions must be taken to reestablish (or build) a psychologically healthy workplace. When major decisions that could impact federal workers are made again, government agencies can be better prepared to address the needs of their employees. It is important for our nation to retain federal workers and to ensure that they are happy with their jobs. By conducting this research study, we hope to learn from and hopefully minimize any psychological tolls of future governmental decisions on federal workers.

If you are a federal worker, your participation in this study would be greatly appreciated. Your participation would consist of taking an online survey found at the link provided below:

For more information on this study, please contact the lead researcher of this study though the contact information found in the survey link.

Thank you.
