Governor Christie (R) rises ABOVE politics AGAIN

No, LoneLoser, we have history on our side. Every Republican president since at least Nixon have been vilified relentlessly by you Liberal Communists.

A history of whining, perhaps.

No, shit for brains. Every frigging REPUBLICAN President since Nixon was eviscerated by you Dumbshitocrats 24/7 with a willing Lamestream media.

Every politician EVER has been "vilified" by their opposition. Welcome to the fucking system.

Grow up, sack up, and deal with it. No one likes a whiner.

Chris Christie-treats is the R's best chance at someone that can work across the aisle.
This last guy our country elected said he would/could, but.....

BUT!
the GOP REFUSE to participate.

AND,
the country knows it.

silly con.

Franco? Is that you?
:cuckoo:

Newt and Willie did well at working across the aisle.

Look around a bit.
Everyone's drifting to the Middle.
Our most recent "scandals" have managed to unite us there.

It's time we wake up and realize that unision and work to fix this train-wreck we used to call a Constitutional Republic

This guy is a force to be reckoned with:

“You got both praise and damnation for ignoring political differences,” the former president continued about Christie’s controversial decision to appear with President Obama just days before last fall’s election.

He ruffled GOP feathers again this week when he chose to attend the Clinton Global Initiative in Chicago rather than join prominent conservatives at the Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington.

no wonder reactionary Repubs hate him, he puts concrete solutions forward instead of attending conservative seances :eusa_pray:

Spending our money like a drunk cow is not putting forth "concrete" solutions.

:clap2:Cool story, Dot

no one can work with the other side if the other side is unwilling. Bush tried, he tried to work with Ted Kennedy early on, the dems got their backs up and refused to find any compromises. Now, the GOP is doing pretty much the same thing.

I just don't know about Christie, he may not be what he wants us to think he is.

Hope he doesn't wind up being another Crist

as much as some people hate Newt and Bubba, they did realize that the only way to get anything done was to work together---and deep down they were both interested in what was best for the country. I do not think Obama shares that goal.

Ah yes, Nixon. Wasn't he the one who changed to a fiat currency so that the government could spend what it did not have? Wasn't he the President who oversaw abortion legalized in the US?

Good times.

In truth, America has never had a conservative at the helm in the last century.

So what did Newt and Bubba do that was good for the country?

IS this the CON ignoring reality?

Vilify is ALL the cons do to Obama,
yet you sit here and be hypocritical.

goes right over your tiny heads, huh.

It's understandable for the left to vilify the right and vice versa.

But when the left holds Christie up as something special, we're going to laugh because we know the left won't vote for him. They will build him up just to tear him down if he ever makes it to a national election. They won't vote for the Democrat-lite candidate over the official Democratic candidate.

He is not anything special. He's got plenty of despicable qualities. But....he stops short of cutting off his own nose to spite his face. He has a few ounces of common sense.

One thing is certain. He is capable of full on dog whistle politics. Which will......in the end......give him a great advantage in the GOP primary.

Just watch what he does to any GOP opponent who questions his conservative bonafides. He will eviscerate them. He throws haymakers and he can hit his target.

Nutters love a guy who throws bombs in debates and on talk shows. You will envision him taking Hillary down a few pegs and go all ga ga over him. You will collectively decide that he is the man to beat the woman.

The problem with all the wannabe bomb throwers that you had in the last cycle was that they didn't have the dough to stay in the race with Mitt. I don't think Christie will have that problem.

Save yourselves the trouble and adapt the dude now. It is inevitable.

So you think that Christie rose above politics? Pfft.

I say that he is a shrewd politician. Christie realized that Obama was going to win. He also realized that he lived in an Obama stronghold full of liberals, so he kissed the guy in front of millions. So he was pandering to the Obama fans across the country and his own state. It was a win/win scenario.

The only problem that may come is, will Obama's numbers fall as low as Bush's numbers did after his two years. If they do, then he is screwed. If not, then all he will have to do is lose about 1000 pounds and he can run for the White House.

Speaking of expanding the Executive Office, no one could do it as large as Christie. He gives a whole new meaning to the term "big government".

I'm not convinced Christie has any national ambitions. Everything he has done thus far can be easily explained as an effort to secure his blue state governorship. If he wants to be king of New Jersey then so be it. It beats the usual criminal gang of democrat party boobs.

Rises above politics? Seriously?

The man is pandering to the people he thinks will help him win the next election as governor of New Jersey and you think he is rising above politics. Did you have a brain transplant that failed?

he's one of the only, if not THE only Repub that has high positives from both sides of the aisle given the Repubs last purification Primaries. ;)

That isn't what you were saying two years ago. Did he stop telling public unions the facts of life, or did you suddenly convert to him because he pandered to your lack of integrity?

Christie has not pandered to any liberal ideals. Do these words come to you on the fly or do you actually think about them?

He took Federal funds for disaster relief and said thanks. That set nutters off. He is a hard-ass when it comes to labor and he fucked Jersey on the much needed tunnel project.

He's no liberal. He'll have to earn independent votes.

One reason I think he's alright is because he called out the crazies in the national Repub party 3:24

About the ONLY way I would even consider voting for him is if he picks a solid Conservative as his running mate. Otherwise, two RINOs and forget it.
