Hamas to execute two Palestinians who collaberated with Israel

Palestine is defined by international borders.

What were you saying?

Just the other day you told me Palestine became a state in 1988. Make up your mind.
Palestine was not a state back during the Zionist immigration. (Are they even a state/country now??)

And why did the U.N propose a partition plan in 1947 for the Jews and Palestinian Arabs if Palestine was already a state with international borders?

Why would they want to divide Palestine if there was no Palestine?

Because they weren't dividing Palestine, they we dividing The British Mandate of Palestine.

Next question..

The British mandate was not a place. It was assigned to Palestine to render administrative assistance and advice. When the mandate left, Palestine was still there.

But it was not a country. You remember, they REFUSED the partition plan and never ended up declaring statehood

Show us a map of those borders, Tinny, along with the date (or, at least, year, even if it is only an approximation) that such borders went into effect...

Look at the legend for international boundaries then find those boundaries on the map. The final border was defined in 1922 when the territory was divided into Palestine and Transjordan.

Again , they refused the partition plan and did not declare statehood. I'm assuming that's mainly because of the following Arab Israeli war.
And you didnt answer Kondors question as to how the borders were acquired. When was the border with Egypt defined ? Syria? Lebanon ?

That map is comedy in action and so is the cable. Ahmed doesn't get to divide the area according to the Nazi Mufti's desires. LOL

This is the way the area was supposed to be divided, AFTER they gave all of Jordan to the "ARAB PALESTNIANS".

OK, now we're on to something...

Now, who was it that divided that territory into Palestine and Transjordan in 1922?

It was Great Britain - the UK - with the idea rubber-stamped by the League of Nations.

The Administrative division of Trans-Jordan that was colloquially known as Palestine for 26 or 27 years (1922 - 1948 Israelis Independence, or 1922 - 1949 UN Admission of Israel) was never a country in its own right but was a short-lived artificial construct - an Administrative Creature of British Oversight.

At best, it was a subjugated province of the British Empire, ruled with an iron hand, and administered-in-detail with the help of local Arab collaborators with the British.

You are showing us a map of an artificial construct - an Imperial province - not an independent and autonomous nation.

Tinny...

You are constantly telling us that the Arab-Palestinians did not approve of the Jewish declaration of Statehood, and that such approval was necessary, to make it legal.

So, in all fairness, where is the Jewish approval of the Arab declaration, above, to make it legal?

Of course, October 1948 was just a wee-bit too late, wasn't it? The Jews had declared Statehood in May 1948, five months earlier.

Perhaps if the Arabs had been as quick and alert and paying as good an attention to detail as the Jews, they would have declared on that same day, when the British Mandate ended.

A day late and a shekel short... well, five months, actually.

Asleep at the switch? Lose your place in line. Better luck next time.

Too bad that stupid plan flopped.

Both imperial powers tried to rule through established elites, although the British were much more willing than the French to move their mandates forward towards a qualified form of independence. At the specific, local level, though, Fieldhouse finds no parallel in his wide knowledge of imperial practice elsewhere to compare to the disastrous experiment in social and political engineering undertaken by the British in Palestine. Here, he pulls no punches in his criticisms. The Palestine mandate was, ‘probably the most ignominious failure of its kind in British imperial history, the first time that Britain had ended its rule without leaving an established government behind it’ (pp. 344–5).

Tinny...

You are constantly telling us that the Arab-Palestinians did not approve of the Jewish declaration of Statehood, and that such approval was necessary, to make it legal.

That is true.

So, in all fairness, where is the Jewish approval of the Arab declaration, above, to make it legal?

That was not necessary.

Of course, October 1948 was just a wee-bit too late, wasn't it? The Jews had declared Statehood in May 1948, five months earlier.

Declared where? Israel didn't declare its borders and still has no borders.

Palestine, on the other hand, was declared inside its international borders.

Perhaps if the Arabs had been as quick and alert and paying as good an attention to detail as the Jews, they would have declared on that same day, when the British Mandate ended.

The question is not when, it is who had the authority. Israel was declared by the foreign Jewish Agency that was created in Zurich by the foreign World Zionist Organization. Of the 37 people who signed Israel's declaration of independence, only one was born in Palestine and he was the son of immigrants. Israel is a foreign power imposed on Palestine by military force with no legal standing to do so.

Palestine was declared by representatives of the native population in accordance with the internationally recognized right to self determination.

A day late and a shekel short... well, five months, actually.

Asleep at the switch? Lose your place in line. Better luck next time.

Irrelevant.

Tinmore with the same bullshit lies.
Israel exists and it does have borders. How soon you forget the spanking you got by Rocco in the Seek Justice Pursue Peace Thread when you started making those "Israel has no land or borders thread"
You're just mad because you're a pro Palestinian and nothing has ever worked out for the Palestinians so you take it out on Israel and fabricate the truth .

AN once again, you have not answered the question about the Palestinian border with Egypt, LEbanon and Syria. How did those borders come to be ???

The border with Egypt was set by agreement with the Ottoman Empire in 1906. That border was honored after the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

The borders with Lebanon and Syria were set the same way their borders were created.

You know, PFT, every time I look at your avatar it makes me sad.

To think that the adorable child in your arms is going to grow up listening to your views.

As the song goes...

Would you teach him about Heaven?
Would you show him how to love the Earth?
Would poison him with prejudice, from the moment of his birth?

Well then provide a link please.
