Its actually the law.....kids cant be placed in adult detention centers

Which is why there are family detention centers. Or why the woman and child cited in the article were being put up in a hotel. Seven is way too young to be taken from Mom.

If you break the law, then you deal with the consequences like an adult. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. This is something that people should have learned EARLY on in life, and certainly before they have children of their own.
