This is backfiring on Democrats in epic proportions! Trump has exposed Democrats as the ultimate hypocrites they are. He's exposed them as a party that really doesn't care about the Dreamers themselves, but for the votes they can hopefully give them in future elections. Now the Dreamers are waking up and realizing the Democrats are using them as pawns for political gain. Chuck Schumers past recorded comments against giving them citizenship confirms it. Trump is winning them over and he's winning 'The Art Of The Deal' he's proposed.

‘I’m All For It’: DACA Immigrants Suddenly Changing Their Tune On Trump And The Border Wall

yeah, the dreamers want a wall to keep them inside the country.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Makes sense to me that if we have to build a Wall in order for the Dreamers to stay here, of COURSE they're going to say "build it." Not rocket science, folks.

This is standard self interest and people generally vote this way. Trump tapping into it wisely and he will win this fight if he posing it in this manner., Furthermore, and predictably I might add; the Democrats have now cornered themselves and will be forced to flip/flop, or move the goalposts, while Trump remains faithful to his very public demands. If he gets it done, the GOP will obtain a large number of these dreamers, especially as they age.

I should apply to work for his campaign team, I'd enjoy this game of chess, especially when the competition is allowing socialists and young idealists to guide the party, and few of them seem to understand what allowed America to go from upstart to global empire in less than 200 years.

Of course, if the Trump team accepted, I would just have to find a way to be parachuted in or break out of Canada, not as easy task...

I am actually a little surprised by this; a little surprised and a LOT pleased...

Maybe I should not be surprised, this is a REALLY GOOD DEAL for the Dreamers

Many on the right are frustrated because they (correctly) see that the primary motivation for Democrats is to inflate the voter rolls in their favor.

But I am not so sure that this is what will happen.

I know, it's "racist" to speak about generalizations of ethnic groups, even when they are true...

BUT

Most Hispanics are hard working people that are family first oriented with strong morals.

The core belief system for most of them is 180 degrees opposite of what fringe leftists are pushing for (the perpetual state of government handouts; abortion on demand; tax the "wealthy" into oblivion; full acceptance of the militaristic gay agenda ; etc)

I could easily see this thing backfiring on them in the long run.

Based on the cited poll; Dreamers are at 50/50 in support of the wall for strengthening of the DACA protections (42% for & 42% against)

More winning; I just can't believe it!

McGomer is an idiot.

that's what makes sense.

Trump knew there was no way he was going to deport them. The optics would be terrible, and we all know this! The only thing he could do, was try and get as many as he could on his side, while eliminating the DACA problem before midterms.

What it also means is----------->if his deal goes through, and DACA is tied to what the deal demands, every time the Democrats try and defund it, the Republicans will point out that they, (the Democrats) are putting the DACA recipients at risk.

Did you see the video of them storming Chuckies house-) Imagine what would happen if they got a deal, and the Democrats put it in the toilet-)

And to be also honest...............if the deal goes through.........he WILL be able to deport those convicted of something bad, and instead of bad optics, Trump will look like a hero.

it's brilliant

dems are truly painted into a corner on this

I kind of agree. I believe he did this, because the more people to get legalization, the more will be pissed at Democrats for trying to scuttle it.

Again, he could not deport ANY of them because of the optics. Now, with a deal, he can start deporting a whole bunch of them that have convictions, and everyone will cheer.

The next question asked will be--------> If DACA people can be deported because of convictions, why not any illegal alien not covered by DACA, that has a conviction. Are we to just enforce these laws on DACA recipients-)

So you see, I do not know if it was brilliant, but I do know it is politically sneaky. As we point out to Democrats all the time, all that money that was parked overseas paid us NOTHING with the high tax rates to return. So 21% of something coming in, is a whole lot more than 35% of nothing coming back.

The same theory applies with this deal!

Once we define who can get deported, we deport them! And deporting a bunch of people that everyone agrees to, is a whole lot better than deporting nobody because of optics!

Too bad dreamers can't vote. But at least there is the whisper of some kind of agreement of the two sides here, and that is a good thing.

Immigrants are fine. Illegal invaders snatching a long suck at our national teat can go to hell.

DACA-ites are a separate issue.

absolutely - anyone here illegally that commits a crime gets deported

we are already doing this, despite obstruction from "sanctuary cities"

Which is why Trump is brilliant. Dems want their support for votes and allegiance to one party. Trump is getting their support and getting something in return that benefits the whole country.

Not rocket science.

Oh, winner winner chicken dinner.

I'm like George Patton an American in spirit in a former lifetime, God just played a cruel trick on me and sent me to an "almost like America, but really really NOT like America at all in monarchy/socialist Canada". It's worse in some ways, as if I lived in Russia I would know what's going on with my government oppression, in Canada it's more subversive and sneaky. Americans would be wise to listen and learn...

On PBS Newshour last night, I saw that over 25,000 refugees and immigrants from the US have landed on your doorstep in the past year, and that they are voluntarily being arrested so they can ask for asylum. Canada is far more generous than the US with helping them get situated if they are accepted. However, it was noted that Canada had only approved 10% of the asylum requests by Haitian immigrants this past year. So a lot of them are still going home, it looks like. At this point, your PM is being all welcoming and generous, but if this keeps up, it will end up like here. People grousing and being jealous that someone is getting something for free. Be ready for it.
